1) Actually it's quite true. I don't know who you've been talking to or what you've been reading but what I see in forums I attend and what my gaming friends say (fyi where I live is like Sonyland) is bitching and moaning about this game. Of course the idiot usual fanboys (attention mods, I'm not calling anyone fanboy here, jus for the sake of the discussion) will criticize everything Sony does so they will attack TLOUR, the problem is many Sony fans will do to. You said it yourself, "never has a game and its existance been so attacked before", and why do you think that is? In this generation the Sony fanbase grows at the cost of the other fanbases, but still TLOU:R, in your own words, is the game most attacked ever? Ins't it contradictory? The usual anti Sony will attack it, now also a few pro-Sony are attacking it. There's not one single PS4 owner who will criticize Uncharted4, but be sure there are many who dislike TLOU:R. (2) and (3) Those excuses u're making are too far fetched. I'm sorry but it's like you're trying too hard. Just don't agree with what ur saying. You speak as you actually know their projects, their timelines, how many people they have in each department, how many people they need, etc. So, either you are work at ND and are here as an insider (actually that'd be pretty cool :D) or you're just making stuff up, probably based on some rumours you read somewhere, and making your own assumptions out of those rumours. But I too can play this game: They can finish UC4 faster and put it on hold and just release it when they want too, we've seen stuff like this happen lots of times. Meanwhile those who were working on UC4 start working on a new project/go help on another on going project to make it so it will release sooner. Also Sony wouldn't risk UC4 missing their holiday 2015 release and date let it slip to 2016, so they should put as much workforce on it as they can. Anyway, you know it's common practice, when several studios are owned by the same company (in this case Sony), for studios to temporarly lend people from one to other studio, or for studios to help other studio finish their game, when there is lack of workers or surplus of labour in those companies? Why not helping out other projects within the mother company? For last, why not make another remaster? I've been playing the 1st Uncharted which is from 2007. It has much more room for improvement and its a much older game. I'm sorry but I just think ur trying too hard defending Sony. It's ok to like a company and still pointing out to things u don't like them doing. And even if you agree with TLOU:R, u don't have to try to debunk the points I made, maybe they're just not debunkable because they make sense? |
(1) I've been here and here you can be sure as hell that it's all kinds of people bitching about it but it's hardly the PS fans. And it isn't really contradictory with the fact that the PS fanbase grows either, actually it's because the PS is on top that the attacks have increased, people are desperately trying to pull the system down.
(2) and (3) aren't really far fetched at all, especially (3) is just a simple observation that everybody can make, SSM, Sony Japan, PD and Quantic Dream all released games last year, so it's pretty logical to assume that they could have just pulled some of those into this year and on PS4 and that since they haven't done that their new games are still some time off.
Also it's not speculation to say that ND has a project in early planning, we know that they have a game in early pre production and you don't need a lot of graphical people when a game is in early pre production. What we might not fully know but can pretty much expect is that UC4 is scheduled for holiday 2015, which can be guessed from the PS store placeholder date of Dec. 31st 2015, which indicates the planned quarter of release. And why should they put the game on hold later when they can just make this remaster now instead and release let's say 3 games in the next 3 years instead of 2 in the next 2 1/2? Also the reason, imo, why this remaster was chosen over another is because
a) it's still fresh in peoples mind, so people that haven't played it on PS3 before have still most likely heard about all the awards the game has gotten and
b) Sony is obviously planning to make TLOU into a huge franchise on the PS4, I wouldn't be surprised if they end Uncharted after the 4th game and have TLOU be NDs big franchise for the gen. That's why it makes sense to now introduce it to the PS4 crowd when people still remember how awesome the game is.
But let's just stop here, I'm actually really tired of seeing this be discussed so I shouldn't have replied to you. Have a nice day.
