(1) Not true

(2) All games have different stages in their development and you don't need all people in every stage of game development, we know that one of the ND games is still in early planning stages, so it doesn't really need graphical engineers, as for UC4, that doesn't need more people because Sony wants this to be their holiday 2015 title most likely anyway, so why have it done faster? They certainly wouldn't have managed to finish it by holiday 2014, even with those maybe 15-20 people (if at all) that did the remaster.

(3) They are making new games and if they didn't make this Remaster then that wouldn't have meant that they could have suddenly whipped out a new AAA game for this summer in its place. If you want to blame something Sony did for the lack of exclusive retail games on the PS4 this year, then blame the thing that a lot of us constantly praise Sony with, the fact that they continue to support their older system for so long. Out of GoW:A, Puppeteer, Beyond and GT6 they could have easily picked 2 and instead released them on PS4 this year, personally I think Puppeteer (would have sold miles better on PS4) and GoW:A could have easily been made into early PS4 games and nobody would even think of bitching about the lack of exclusives on the PS4 this year.

1) Actually it's quite true. I don't know who you've been talking to or what you've been reading but what I see in forums I attend and what my gaming friends say (fyi where I live is like Sonyland) is bitching and moaning about this game. Of course the idiot usual fanboys (attention mods, I'm not calling anyone fanboy here, jus for the sake of the discussion) will criticize everything Sony does so they will attack TLOUR, the problem is many Sony fans will do to. You said it yourself, "never has a game and its existance been so attacked before", and why do you think that is? In this generation the Sony fanbase grows at the cost of the other fanbases, but still TLOU:R, in your own words, is the game most attacked ever? Ins't it contradictory? The usual anti Sony will attack it, now also a few pro-Sony are attacking it. There's not one single PS4 owner who will criticize Uncharted4, but be sure there are many who dislike TLOU:R.

(2) and (3) Those excuses u're making are too far fetched. I'm sorry but it's like you're trying too hard. Just don't agree with what ur saying. You speak as you actually know their projects, their timelines, how many people they have in each department, how many people they need, etc. So, either you are work at ND and are here as an insider (actually that'd be pretty cool :D) or you're just making stuff up, probably based on some rumours you read somewhere, and making your own assumptions out of those rumours. But I too can play this game:

They can finish UC4 faster and put it on hold and just release it when they want too, we've seen stuff like this happen lots of times. Meanwhile those who were working on UC4 start working on a new project/go help on another on going project to make it so it will release sooner. Also Sony wouldn't risk UC4 missing their holiday 2015 release and date let it slip to 2016, so they should put as much workforce on it as they can. Anyway, you know it's common practice, when several studios are owned by the same company (in this case Sony), for studios to temporarly lend people from one to other studio, or for studios to help other studio finish their game, when there is lack of workers or surplus of labour in those companies? Why not helping out other projects within the mother company? For last, why not make another remaster? I've been playing the 1st Uncharted which is from 2007. It has much more room for improvement and its a much older game.

I'm sorry but I just think ur trying too hard defending Sony. It's ok to like a company and still pointing out to things u don't like them doing. And even if you agree with TLOU:R, u don't have to try to debunk the points I made, maybe they're just not debunkable because they make sense?

(1) I've been here and here you can be sure as hell that it's all kinds of people bitching about it but it's hardly the PS fans. And it isn't really contradictory with the fact that the PS fanbase grows either, actually it's because the PS is on top that the attacks have increased, people are desperately trying to pull the system down.

(2) and (3) aren't really far fetched at all, especially (3) is just a simple observation that everybody can make, SSM, Sony Japan, PD and Quantic Dream all released games last year, so it's pretty logical to assume that they could have just pulled some of those into this year and on PS4 and that since they haven't done that their new games are still some time off.

Also it's not speculation to say that ND has a project in early planning, we know that they have a game in early pre production and you don't need a lot of graphical people when a game is in early pre production. What we might not fully know but can pretty much expect is that UC4 is scheduled for holiday 2015, which can be guessed from the PS store placeholder date of Dec. 31st 2015, which indicates the planned quarter of release. And why should they put the game on hold later when they can just make this remaster now instead and release let's say 3 games in the next 3 years instead of 2 in the next 2 1/2? Also the reason, imo, why this remaster was chosen over another is because

a) it's still fresh in peoples mind, so people that haven't played it on PS3 before have still most likely heard about all the awards the game has gotten and

b) Sony is obviously planning to make TLOU into a huge franchise on the PS4, I wouldn't be surprised if they end Uncharted after the 4th game and have TLOU be NDs big franchise for the gen. That's why it makes sense to now introduce it to the PS4 crowd when people still remember how awesome the game is.

But let's just stop here, I'm actually really tired of seeing this be discussed so I shouldn't have replied to you. Have a nice day.

TLOU is more of a interactive movie than a game but nice numbers.

UK needs Wii U more though.

Oh really? I think you really need to play this interactive movie and see how it plays for itself then. You'll be disappointed though, when you need to make Joel move but he won't go any where.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

TLOU:R is a game that shouldn't even exist. It's hilarious actually how PS fans are willing to go out and buy the SAME game for practically full retail price again only a year later. Personally, it wasn't the best game of last generation, but even if you considered it so, it was still LAST generation. Screw that, it was LAST year.

With the MCC, you're getting four fully unlocked games, some of which were released a decade ago, with a 1000 gamer points a piece and some of the best online multiplayer experiences you can hope to have on a console. Goes to show how Sony's greed is catching up with their success.

Sales show it should have, and yes it is the best game of last gen and one of the very best ever.....You saying it should not exist doesn't mean squat, the market and demand determines that, and looks like you are wrong.

Not to mention many people who own ps4's never had ps3's, so it matters to them.

Apart from recognising that the game exists, I don't see how this relates to the thread at all XD

On topic: Impressive numbers for the game IMO. Hopefully a lot of people who never played TLOU are now enjoying it on PS4.

I think most of the flaming and hating over the game comes from the lack of an upgrade plan for the game. A lot of PS3 owners were annoyed that they would have to pay full price. Understandable from my point of view. I would have much prefered an option to trade in my PS3 copy and get a PS4 for a reduced price(a better reduced price than GameStop trade-ins that is)

I think someone wrote that this is actually just 1 day of sales data? Is that correct? Even more impressive if true.

What's the comparrison of PS3 vs PS4 TLOU opening sales and the install base of the consoles in the region? I know a few people were comparing PS4 being 3:1 greater than Wii U and comparing the game to MK8 but I think a comparrison of the games original release and rerelease makes a lot more sense.

It is to be expected since Playstation in general is wayyy more popular in the UK than Nintendo is... I am surprised the game didn't do higher than that

Not so much the case, more the wii U is just a flop. UK is the sonys weakest european market in terms the edge it holds over MS and Nintendo, the 360 outsold the ps3 over there and so did the wii by a fair margin.

This thread reminds of me of this - http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=173497.

600 is statistically insignificant, and the UK is not a reflection of the rest of the world.

Bolded is actually the only thing in your post(s) that make sense and I actually agree with.

People that bought it are idiots.. They could have easily saved money by buying a PS3, the PS3 version of the game, and the DLC for no less than a few hundred bucks.

Are you joking?
1. Im sure most people already had a PS4, its sold a ton lot of units and not just to previous ps3 owners.
2. why would you spend 200 pounds on a PS3 and TLOU, when youre only gonna end up buying a PS4 ontop of that in the next 12months anyway?? Might aswell fork out little more the PS4 and The superior version of TLOU and save money in the long run.

Good for TLOUR :) ... why are we comparing it to MK8?
