Can someone clarify something for me. Gronk just caught a TD, had control when both feet were planted in the endzone, then as he was falling out of bounds, lost control. The TD stood, but Patriots announcers were saying it should've been called back.

Conversely, you see time and time again, an RB merely needs to break the plane with the ball, not even set foot in the EZ, and lose control, or toss it after they're sure they've broken the plane, and that counts as a TD. I guess it feels like those are two completely conflicting rules.

The current rules about what is and is not a touchdown are ridiculous.

did they break theire own record?

Revis with the pick to close out the half.

@Pokoko - (quote wouldn't copy right)  Yeah, the posession rules just seem frail in that regard.  Andy Hart (Pats guy) told me that it's because the RB has already established possession...but if 2 feet in the EZ with control is all the receiver needs, that seems like a glaring discrepency in the rules.  Especially when RB's can just toss it after breaking the plane with the ball, before they even set foot in the EZ.

I got your back ;)

Also Geno Smith got benched for the Jets. Vick in now playing.

38 points in the first half are the most that the Bears have ever allowed. Looks like spending twice as much money on the offensive side of the ball is really working out.

Sorry, but that wasn't a TD.  Notice that Calvin Johnson never has done that since.

Sorry, but it used to be and I think the change in rules is idiotic.
