Who will win the Super Bowl?

Who cares? 41 36.61%

That AFC team. 29 25.89%

That NFC team. 5 4.46%

Hahaha, not the Packers! 25 22.32%

Total:109

Agreed on Peyton > Favre, but how big is the surrounding talent gap? We've seen Romo with a bad team around him, when qbs are carrying a team they tend to make rushed decisions. A bad o line is the worst factor possible. I guess id rate PM 10 of 10 brains, 3 of 10 athletic ability, 9 of 10 Denver talent, 6 of 10 Colts talent. For Favre, 8 of 10 brains, 9 of 10 athletic, 5.5 of 10 gb talent, 5 of 10 Minnesota talent. And overall package 9.5/10 PM, 8.5/10 Favre. I guess I'm saying I believe Favre is inferior to PM in most regards, but that he would push 90% of his numbers in 2014 Broncos setup.

Been awhile since Ive payed attention to the NFL, just wondering if you had all heard about Jarryd Hayne trying to make it in the NFL?? If so what are your thoughts?? If not, well he was this seasons NRL (Australia's national Rugby League League) MVP and he out of nowhere retired and flew to the US at the end of our season looking to play NFL with no contract lined up.

to put ur athletic number into perspective. what Rating would u give qbs like
romo, brady, ben, drew
or runners like luck, kaep or wilson?

A kiwi posted that news story in this thread. We ignored it. We'll continue to do so, because rugby is not a real sport.

Haha sure, let me know when you Americans man up and stop wearing a shit load of protective gear =P

I think I'd go :

Romo 7/10 (surprising spin dodge move, but little to no scrambling, moderate/high durability, high determination)

Brady 6.5/10 (much of his success was cemented by having a truly solid supporting cast, so this isn't a dig at him, brains-wise he ranks higher of course)

Ben 7/10 (low mobility, extreme durability)

Kaep 9.5/10 (imagine Romo or Peyton with his raw physical abilities to scramble and to fire cross field bullets, it's hard to imagine much better in physical gifts, though of course we've seen decision making and attitude issues really limit the effectiveness of his potential)

Wilson 8/10 (overachiever in all respects, but he's short, and always feels like he's a play away from getting that blind-side hit that ends his season or his career. Maybe if every QB was sub 6' I'd give him higher marks for gymnast-like agility and surprising speed, but that small frame and short stature docks him from the top)

Brains-wise :

Romo 8.5/10 (REALLY good when he's good, actually surprisingly good even under pressure, but we all know of the times where it's just been too much for him. I don't blame him too much though, because he's been asked to do the impossible far too often. It's seldom but at the same time extremely memorable when he does things that are bone-headed, like forcing balls into double or triple coverage for no purpose like in the SF game when the run game was cooking so well).

Brady 8/10 (what can I say. A lot of people hate him, but he is what he is : a pretty smart and talented QB1)

Kap 5.5/10 (my earlier rating might have been unfairly harsh, but I do think he makes bad reads and bad decisions in almost every game that hurt to watch. He can play a great game if leading, but tends to fall apart if the pressure keeps up for very long. You don't want this QB if you're trying to dig out of a hole!)

Wilson 8/10 (hard to rate. An incredibly hard worker, pretty smart with the ball, seldom makes terrible decisions, but I don't think he's a golden ticket when you need a force of nature to tear up the field either, so I can't rank him as high as QB's that actually improve under pressure.)

And that's my IMO.

okay now i know.

i would rate most of them similar. just wilson 1 Point better for his agility

but i still dont get, why peyton ist just a 3/10. i would give him at least a 4 or even 5.
his footwork in the pocket is really well and he got decent arms.
and to throw accurate, requires some athletic ablility, too
25% or 1/3. the rest would be Talent, Training and concentration

ill give him 4.5/10

Man what a dominant game by my Broncos last night.

I love how tough the defense is this year, especially on the ground. While I wish the team had a more consistent rushing attack, it won't be as big a deal if they can keep stopping the other teams rushing game this well.

I don't think there are many teams in the league that have the offense to beat Denver in a passing contest. Green Bay, maybe the Saints too if they can somehow squeak in.

I definitely dont think you have been paying that much attention to wilson if that is your evaluations of him...

The Broncos-49ers was the Broncos most complete game for them this year. Looks to me like they have hit their highest gear and hopefully run with it for the rest of the year.
