So apparently VR anime is a thing now?

Color me intrigued.

Well I watched 3 more shows.

Aico Incarnation - A meh show from Bones, which is surprising but I suppose they are responsible for Darker Than Black Season 2/ Part 3. The animation is pretty good regardless, dialogue and plot is cringe in most episodes. Still I enjoyed the beginning and the end. I get some minor Kurumukuro vibes, but that show is simply better in all ways.  This futuristic show is just too linear. I skipped OP and ED sadly.

Kiznaiver - Some good stuff. The premise is quite unique, and is usable in both comedy and drama quite effectively. I almost teared up 4-5 times in this show, which is quite rare. The characterization is quite good, and it was tough to choose a certain character to really root for as the episodes went on. Of course Nico became best girl, because the MC kept being annoying and in return Chidori got annoying. Social experiments from the future are always quite interesting. The OP was great, sad that he died so young, a good sendoff.

Death Parade - Another good show with some intense final episodes. Just when the plot felt like it was going to be episodic, things started to go down. I like how most things are for the viewer to decide what is what. The Death Note cameo was a nice cherry on top as well. The last episode was great and I almost teared up, not as much as Kiznaiver but still rare. The ending leaves room for Season 2, but unfortunately doesn't look likely.  The OP somehow fits the show despite how different they appear to be, and the ED was great especially in a certain deathly episode.

Hanebado -- I like that the main character might be insane.

I mean, when you see this--

Go to this--

You know she ain't quite right in the head.

It's kind of understandable, sure, with her mother abandoning her because she lost at badminton, but still, crazy is crazy.

Ah good, we got Historia's backstory. Was worried it'd be skipped. Curious how far this season of Attack on Titan is going to go, I forget what happens next but it seems like 12 episodes is a bit much for how fast they're going. Maybe they'll get to that reveal. *scratches non-existent beard*

I took a look at next season's lineup since this one is pretty so-so for me. Jojo is obvious of course, then If I'm still craving Fairy Tail I might jump into the new anime. I've heard good things about the Goblin Slayer manga, and I see an action rom-com with a blonde FMC. Can't go wrong with that.

I also noticed Hinomaru Zumou is getting an anime next season. I recently got caught up on the manga, and I enjoy it. It's a shounen sports manga about sumo wrestling, and while most of the important fights are pretty predictable and kinda long, it does a good job at being informative about sumo as a sport, as well as the Shinto rituals around it. I was ignorant about the sport before reading the manga, so it was interesting to learn how intense it is. It's definitely a lot more than fat guys pushing each other.

The art style of the of the manga is really cool. Also has a fun main girl with solid character development. Personal preference, but it's also one of the few shounen series I've read with the main couple getting together well before the end, and I absolutely love that.

Haven't heard of the studio adapting it, and the manga doesn't seem to be very popular, so there's a strong chance it's just there to fill a slot, but hopefully it's done well anyway.

Winner of the poll is multi-season! Hurray for multi-season fans!

I'd think of something more interesting...but...eh...kinda feeling out of it lately. Gonna go with a normie poll for a little while. We're about halfway into the season, what's your favorite show so far?

See you all in a while...

Grand blue dreaming is fun, the one I've most enjoyed this season so far. Cells at work is also nice

There are a lot of good anime this season. Nothing that will go down in history but there is plenty that is enjoyable to watch. It's a fine season. I picked Hanebado in the poll but I could just as easily have gone in three or four different directions.
