Not sure what I would nominate for AOTY as of late I been rewatching older stuff as I don't have the patience to wait a week for a new episode these days lol. Now I usually just wait till the end then watch in a sitting or few..

Nothing you watched this year? o.o Nothing at all? Winter 2017 season was a long time ago...sorta.

I like to have a backlog show to watch simultaneously with seasonal stuff, but there's a charm in coming back to something week by week too. I have a Sunday routine where I watch Sangatsu no Lion every morning, and it feels...cozy I guess. Not sure if I like one way of watching more than the other.

-----------------

Anyways, Shokugeki first cour finale was lit!!!! Have to rewatch that last scene again. Was a little annoying at some of the pacing, animation, and scene changes this season...but that reveal was nailed. Can't wait for Spring.

This year i haven't really watched much new stuff as been busy with work so haven't been in the mood  to explore too much new stuff. I probably work about 12-16 hours a day atm.

I can narrow it down to four things haha

Dragon Ball Super - Only cause i been watching it since I was a kid so continued to. TBH I don't know why as it's gotten slow with the current arc.

Black Clover - I saw the first 10 eps now I kind of wish there was more. Hard to saw were this will lead atm. could be good or not

Shokugeki no Soma S3 - keeping up to date on this. It is cool but at the end of the day it is cooking lol

Sousei no Onmyouji - kind of ended on a downer.

Hm...I see I see. I tried Black Clover...I've heard the story gets better later but the first two episodes did a terrible job at selling me on it. Might be a rainy day anime if I really need one.

------------

Speaking of backlog shows (kinda), I just finished watching Usagi Drop. What a delight! I suppose it's not an unknown show, but it basically follows a 30 year old bachelor who ends up taking care of his grandfather's illegitimate 6 year old daughter, and follows his mental growth and how his life changes as a result. Was a really cozy anime, made me smile, laugh, and throat tighten quite a bit...the only downside to it was that it was way too short. Some SoL shows I feel like 12 episodes is more than enough...with this one I feel like I could have watched 50 without getting tired of it.

Also gonna change the poll soon. Winner of Most Underrated Anime is Other with 2 votes. Yeah I know.

Yes! I love how the ED song matched it. I think this is one of those animes that I will never get bored of. Cant wait for next season! April is going to be good!

TBH the only reason I watched Black Clover is because too many shows were popping up with S words or O words in them lol. So it just stood out as something to try lol.

Haven't seen Usagi Drop, so may check it out.

Usagi Drop was really nice and enjoyable.  However, a lot of people were less than thrilled with the manga ending so maybe it's best that the anime ended with one season.

I looked up the manga ending afterwards...and was kinda iffy on it. I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me uncomfortable, but I don't think it was completely out of nowhere either. I suppose if I ever read the manga I'll go into it with an open mind to see how I feel.

But yes..I more meant I'd like more of what I got in the anime, ignoring what would logically have to be adapted. :P

Is it just me or was this 3rd season of Shokugeki just terrible? I really liked the first arc with the festival but it went all downhill from there. Maybe it's gotten too predictable and repetitive.

Yer it was getting predictable. I just watched the last episode. Before that I was wondering it is 3 seasons in when will that particular question be answered. It come out in the last 1 minute lol

I thought everyone knew by Season 1. I mean he was right there with everyone. And seriously? No one knows that a world famous chef had a diner and a kid?
