Yeah lol. I know that it is not the best anime out there, and could certainly have done better. But its the only one of its type that continually gets a sequel and looks good (looking at log horizon..... lol)

I wonder why there is so little love for Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryoko in this thread. It's easily the second best anime this season and definitely in the top 5 of the year. Awesome setting, amazing writing and VO, perfect music and so mystery. It basically is this season's Made in Abyss.

Yeah, while I was making my list and forgot that LWA was a 2017 anime, I thought on it and realized most of the main cast are great. I also really like Sucy, who despite being mean spirited often is still really funny and is a caring person. Lotte's a sweet heart who really lights up when she's involved in her hobbies. Chariot before and now is quite great, being sweet and supportive but also really cool when showing off her skills. I can go on with others, haha. Yet, Akko is still my favorite. I just really like those type of characters, the full of energy, optimistic type who never gives up even when things get tough and bounces back from hardships. She's a character who really encourages me and I love cheering her on~

I just like Akko's face and hair, so gonna have to say she my favorite.

Anyways I watched Tsukigakirei, quite the slow show that I decided to watch after watching many intense movies. Many of the situations presented in the anime is exactly how I have felt on occasion. Especially during rejection :P, never lucky. The overall plot was okay and not too idealistic as some shows tend to be. I could have used more humor but that's just me with which the after credits scenes were pretty funny. The animation was good besides the white borders on the characters. The music was pretty good during the show, but I never really wanted to listen to the slow OP and ED.

Edit: Something I forgot to add, is that there was some good animation of actual Japan places and that was awesome. Especially the kyoto scene with famous places which mirrored some of my own experiences and photos of my time there!

While I do like Diana more than Akko, I love them more together.
