End of week update.

Dagashi Kashi dub complete - where to even begin with this, i dropped it the season it aired and im so thankfull i did coz i would have missed what i consider to be the best dub I've ever heard. If this was dub only it would be so much higher rated than the sub 7 it has on myanimelist. I really need to take a moment and give Tabitha Ray respect for her performance as Hotaru, she made that character and put the Japanese voice actress to shame with her  performance, easily made Hotaru best girl and one of my fav female characters of all time coz of it. That was the finest performance by a female voice actress I've heard, the sheer charm, charisma and energy she put in was just endless. Also have to say the supporting cast of Todd Haberkorn (as Kokonotsu) Sara Ragsdale (as Saya) and Jeremy Inman (as You) helped bring this anime to life far more than the original voice cast could. One of the funniest animes i've seen, animated beautiful and one that i so very much want to see more of. A straight 10/10 and straight into my top 10 of all time, i truly loved this anime/dub.

Overall a decent week of anime :3

Glad someone else enjoyed it as much as me,  despite what some may say as lack of plot I managed to marathon the whole thing and enjoy it.

Now for my update

Finished Shangri-la, it was tough. I wanted to like this show but, too many things to mention brought it down for me. Still the overall plot was solid and the setting was interesting.

Finished Drifters. Awesome show with great action and odd humor. A shame we will not have a sequel or even much more source material for quite some time.

.....the more I try to reply to this the more I can't choose :| it's a hard line to know what she was really implying. So let's say we're both crazy XD

Ha XD

I do appreciate that this anime doesn't spoonfeed exposition, but it also means that I find myself lost sometimes, either due to translation or cultural differences. I'm still not sure if the fat boy is related to the head of the workshop.

Looking back, there was a scene where Rei was watching Hina try to confess to a jock boy, and the word "love" prompted him to think of Kyouko sneaking into his room. So I do feel there is something going on there. Hopefully that's touched on more than once before the season is over.

------------

@Poll: Probably Konosuba in that list. I do like that a certain popular one was left off though.

@Poll: Wheres SAO?!??!?!?!?

SAO: Amazing visuals, easy to watch and understand, the best game I want to be in/come true!

Log Horizon: Low quality compared to SAO, too much characters, the explanation is quite deep though!

No Game No Life: Awesome title! Best protagonists! Amazing visuals! I love the tactics in beating the game!

Grimgar: Probably the saddest one! The dramatic feel of the anime is soooo sad :( Combat not that interesting but it had its moments. I love all the characters but im scared........ :(

Konosuba: The funniest one! The humor is just spot on! The main characters are easy to like!

Danmachi: Another one with great cast! Awesome sound effects! Makes you really cheer for the MC!

I would say NGNL!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Overlord, the only accurate depiction of an online game.

As for the poll. For me its a close call between NGNL and Overlord. Both are quite good, and have their own quirks. Although NGNL is a multitude of games in a game world so I do not find it comparable to most of the others.

Aren't they brothers? I'm sure I've heard him say that. I think when he thought of Kyouko that time was because it's probably the only time he's been close to a female in a way you could call "love"

Dont worry about being lost sometimes, I've had to replay scenes coz my mind just doesn't understand what happens sometimes :3

The younger one says "nee-san", but it seems like they live completely seperate lives. The older brother has a personal goal to visit his hometown, which never seems to be brought up with the younger one, and it doesn't seem like the older brother shares any of the family wealth either. I assumed it was one of those cases where it's acceptable to refer to a non-relative that way...but I could definitely be wrong.

You might be right about that flashback scene. I looked up a spoiler to see if my ship would sail...and it does not. But to be honest, the canon pairing probably fits better thematically. I still think there's something going on....but we'll see.

Pic of the day to go with the poll.

I read up on the Sengoku Jidai again and now I'm gonna rewatch all Nobunaga no Shinobi eps and have even more fun.

Finishing up Saiki K, hilarious as always.

I want to take this moment to appreciate Nobunaga no Shinobi. A lighthearted comedy anime about an actually gruesome theme of war.
The slapstick comedy is on point, the animation is slick and detail rich. It also features 2 great OPs.

It's a short with 3 min episodes. Check it out, you got nothing to lose. It's even better when you know your Japanese history.
