It was pretty bad. It basically did nothing to build on the first season and got incredibly boring as you steadily realized nothing important was going to happen for a painful 24 episodes. The fact that they pulled two cours out of their behinds without enough material would have been impressive, ya know, if they had done a good job. Or even a passable job. If they had tried to build the universe. If they had continued on any of the plotlines from season one. Anything at all, really, that wasn't what we got.

Eureka Seven actually ended though, which already made AO unnecessary. Then they had the audacity to let AO suck as they tried to cram too much story into too few episodes, ultimately creating a mishmash of confusing and lacking crap that nobody asked for. If AO had acted as an epilogue of sorts, I would have been okay with that, but otherwise, I was really satisfied with how Eureka Seven concluded.

Really, Eureka Seven was already two seasons anyways. It was 50 episodes, four cours.

Yeah I already only moderately liked these anime, so it would be stupid for me to watch the 2nd season after so many people say it gets even worse. I kind of put Black Butler in with them as well, but some said they liked it.

The reason I watched Darker then Black season 2 of course is because I really like the first season.

It followed the LN, adapted a couple side stories, so its not as though nothing happened. Maybe nothing crazy huge but a lot of set up was done.

Today is my anime ketchup catch up day. I got around 60 eps from this and last season in my backlog. Let's see how far I can come today.

Also I demand funny temporary thread titles, like all the other cool mega threads have.

Boku no Hero Academia was better this week. Actual conflict. Actual action that isn't halfass town because the kids don't know how to maximize their powers. Kind of dramatic. Overall, one of the only episodes actually worth watching.

The show is still at best a 7/10, but at least it will end with a bit of a bang.

Anyways I noticed the subtitle for the thread, looking good, though it reminds me of a certain game that never stops dissapointing me...

I really wanted Ohta-kun to see Ecchan. She was adorable, especially after she got mad.

Sometimes Hero Academy is overkill with the cliche shounen stuff. If I can't beat you at 100% then I'll go over 100%! The Power of Justice and Friendship! PLUS!

I seem to have dropped Kuroko's Basketball. I stopped watching it without noticing. Eh. I had no sense of investment, anyway.

I skimmed the Hantsu X Trash OAV. It was just a "sexy dream sequence" with the main character and the girls from the manga. The manga, though it's ecchi, was actually pretty good. Art in the manga is also way better.

Making great progress with my backlog elimination. Watched like 25 eps today. If I can keep that up in the next 2 days I've done it. Would feel pretty great to start the new season with an empty backlog.

I like Hero Academia more with every ep. Has everything I expect from a shounen and even some proper drama and gore. Digging it a lot more than OPM.
