Why is nobody talking about the latest episode of One Punch Man? It was a god damn masterpiece, and next week's episode should be some top tier stuff. I'm seriously loving this show week after week.

I just finished it actually! Kinda annoyed at the cliffhanger, but mostly because I want to keep watching. This show is too great for only 12 episodes. x.x

I'm looking forward to Saitama taking out Arlong....though I assume Genos has to fight first. Saitama can't beat him in more than one punch, and other characters need focus too I spose. Though really I'm hoping Tatsumaki/Tornado joins the fight....hoo hoo.

Well this thread has been quite dead for quite some time now..... But i guess its because we are nearing the holiday season.

Trinity seven was enjoyable in its own way. But yeah. The quality of the story was very poor. But i did love the animation and the sound effects.

Maybe it's because there is a group of people just waiting for it to say "Fall 2015 Edition". But yeah, I'm guessing people are just busy and don't have as much time to stay up to date with and discuss the latest anime episodes.

The show definitely looked good, but the moment the harem started building and the MC ripped off clothes with his power, I could tell I was in for a poor attempt at building off the ecchi success of High School DxD. The characters were pretty typical, and all of them falling for the MC in about 2.5 seconds got kind of annoying. Instead of steady character and relationship development, it seemed like the only one they took time with was Lilith. I give them credit for making the headmaster ridiculous and entertaining, and I wish he had a larger role.

In the end, it wasn't absolutely terrible by any means, but it could have been a whole lot better than it was. The only real reason I finished it was because it was only 13 episodes. I don't think I would have bothered keeping on if the show was any longer.

I pretty much agree with you on that one. My expectations were very low for this one since its a Harem+Magic+School+Ecchi anime and with only 13 episodes........ I only finished it because my friend and my brother can't stop talking about it.

Pocky Lover Boy!

It's mid season, there is not much to say about animes that has not been said already at the start of the season.

I could go on about how awesome Subete ga F ni Naru is and how much I hate that it's produced by noitaminA but that's nothing new.

I thought the characterization in Trinity Seven was mediocre but since the author took the plot seriously, in just the span of a one cour adaption it immediately became slightly better than High School DxD or tons of other Harem/Ecchi/Action series for me ...

Random Picture of the Day: We Canadians certainly love Anal

Since most or all the animes this season have reached their halfway or 1/4 mark. I want to know what's everyone most favorite male and female character this season, and what anime is taking the TOP of their list this season.

For me:

Best female would be Kujou! From Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru I just love her love for bones and her quirky personality

Best Male would be Tengenji! From High School Star Musical! I just love Tsuns! =D

Best Anime so far would be Subete ga F ni Naru The Perfect Insider! This anime gives me the same vibe as Rokka where im just sooooo focused when im watching each episode trying to know what happened to her. Hopefully the ending won't dissapoint.

Sakurako-san is great. I didn't find the last two episodes to be all that engaging, but I'm curious as to what will happen next. That two-parter was the highlight so far...I'm really curious who recommended leaving that painting out.

Favorite girl is probably Sakurako....though with Tornado from OPM in second. Not for anything she's done...I just like the character design and personality. Shallow reason, I know, but eh. Probably goes to show how bored I am of the girls in the other shows I'm watching.

Best dude is probably Ohtori's dad in Anti-Magic Academy. So best I don't even know his name. Reminds me of Mephisto in Ao no Exorcist....sorta.

Best anime...I'd honestly be surprised if anything overtook OPM for me at this point. It's a show so great I get mad when it finishes because I want to keep watching. It's literally taking all my effort not to read the manga and spoil the upcoming episodes.

I would argue that Trinity Seven had no more episodes of actual plot relevance than High School DxD did in its first cour. IIRC, the Asia bit was in the first cour of High School DxD, and that surpassed pretty much everything present in Trinity Seven. Both of them were guilty of veering off into the realm of near pointless amounts of fan service for the sake of making an often stupid joke, though DxD's fan service is far superior. I would give Trinity Seven credit for its plot if it didn't pretty much suck. I mean, just about every conflict was resolved through either a half assed action scene, or a crappy attempt at drama.

I could see Trinity Seven ending up somewhere decent if it continued on, but after the mediocre nature of the first season, I expect absolutely nothing from it in the future.

On a related note, although some people crap on High School DxD season three for rearranging events and such, it turns out the author was actually the one that had things rearranged and changed for the anime. So I guess it wasn't the studio's fault that things got a bit iffy (though it was their fault that animation took a step back). I'm sure this is old news, but it was new to me as I was browsing around the other night.
