Noragami s2 is whay better than the first seasson imo, i like the serious side they are taking for this season, there where too much (good)jokes in the first season

EDIT: Im always scared  when Nora suddenly apear lol, like she will €§$@& Yato lol

Yeah, maybe that's why i didnt like Noragami. Sometimes the "Comedy" in animes just makes the whole thing bad. Like how i want them to focus on the story/plot not this little fanservice/side stories.

Yeah, the fanservice is sometime inappropriate, like this joke in the first season regarding the 2 worst enemies in the anime lol

when people don't read the manga....

This is a scene that happens right after the current arc and was an OVA, not part of season 1. On top of that Yato did that to prevent her from thanking him and swallowing her pride. Season 1 was great but season 2 is where noragami's plot starts to pick up for the most part especially since next arc we'll get introduced to the main antagonist of the entire series.

Asterisk ep 4 - I had to force myself to finish the episode--which was okay, because the last 2 minutes was the only interesting part. It started out well enough, and I thought maybe the Princess and the other guy could show off a bit, but part of me was going, "please don't let the main character appear at the last minute and destroy the enemy with ease." Heh. And he did it while carrying the Princess with one arm. When he dropped the whole, "my purpose is to protect you," speech, I wanted to shoot him in the head. Again, thank cats for Claudia. I came extremely close to just dropping the whole series halfway through the episode but Claudia pulled me back for now.

Calvary (Magical Student Pokemon) - Alice is a very interesting character and his dialogue in this showed good writing. The degree of fan service was out of place but there was good pacing and a nice level of suspense early. The actual battle was silly, though. Those arrows were weak as hell. How did they not do any damage at all? Why did he punch himself? For the pain? He'd been hit with 352 arrows already. Eh? Besides that, the whole system seems pretty sick, with murder being fully sanctioned. At least there was true and honest relationship development, which you almost never see in action anime. Up and down episode.

Asterisk 0 --- Calvary 1

Easy win for Calvary, though mostly because Asterisk was particularly bad.

I enjoyed Heaven's Memo Pad (Kamisama no Memochou). Twelve episodes well spent.

Thinking about it though, one thing does bother me. 12 episodes of a somewhat disjointed plot with some consistent elements, but largely just a set of self contained arcs like Black Lagoon or otherwise, and throughout none of it is the mystery of Alice even slightly unveiled. Who is she? How old is she? Why does she live alone over a ramen shop, and why does the shop owner choose to take care of her despite having no discernable relation past being some kind of mother figure? So many questions about the character who is more central to the plot than the MC we actually follow around from start to finish, and they fail to answer basically any of them.

I would read the light novels to find out more, but of the nine volumes, only the first four as well as the eighth have been fully translated, so I guess I'm out of luck there since I don't want to stop halfway or skip a third of the series and still end up missing out on the ending.

Otherwise it looks like it suffered a bit in reviews due to being similar to Gosick (which I plan on watching next), and only releasing the season after Gosick ended.

I enjoyed it as well. And for me its one of those animes where i enjoyed the character and the whole setting and plot but the lack of episodes suffered to get in depth within those things <---- Like what you said about the characters. What was your fave arc? Because my one is about the WHite hair guy (i did not expected that plot twist =D )

At this point i'm basically just watching Yuru Yuri and Gochuumon wa usagi desu ka
Noragami, Perfect insider and Uta-whatever have been good too but i'm only watching them whenever I have some free time. Backlog building up cause I'm spending way more time gaming than watching anime

Fall is definitely not what I was hoping for. At this point, I'm only watching maybe half of what I was considering before the season started. Some stuff I've either dropped because I just didn't want to suffer week by week hoping it got better, or I dropped it because it just didn't resonate with me enough to bother clicking the next episode a week later.
