Finished Golden Time this morning. Had to marathon the last few episodes since I was such a nervous wreck. Really glad it ended that way. Had a few gripes, but overall I really liked it. I personally liked Toradora more, but this was also a lot different. Everyone felt a lot more...relatable, and there weren't quite as many cliches as I'm used to seeing in my rom-coms. Still, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone that liked Toradora, the way it's written does seem pretty nostalgic.

Now I plan to start Yamada and the Seven Witches, since the premise looks fun and the OTP seems right up my alley. The anime seems really short, so I'll likely jump into the manga right after. According to what I'm reading, the mangaka was Hiro Mashima's long time assistant during Rave Master and Fairy Tail, and she claims he taught her everything she knows about manga. Kinda curious how noticeable that's gonna be...

Smart bullets

Mentioned and explained in episode 1 and shown in episode 2

and why they bad guys seemed so ill trained? Find out next week! Ask me again if you want the real spoiler.

Oh, yeah.  I completely forgot about those.  Seems kind of an easy-peasy way out but whatever.  I get the feeling they're fine with convenient solutions.

I'm sure you've heard it a million times but the manga for Yamada-kun is miles better than the anime.  Not that the anime is bad, it's just that they crammed so much into one season of anime that a lot content was left out.  It felt very rushed for me, since I read the manga first, and many of the characters seemed flat.

The artwork for her first work, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (which is really funny), does look a lot like Fairy Tail in some ways.  I like Miki Yoshikawa quite a bit and will read anything she produces.

I don't get what it is with Yamada. Was the marketing budget just that huge that people were raving about it? Seemed to me like a fairly generic highschool harem.

If you want to watch great romcom animes with witches in highschool you better watch Witch Craft Works and Majimojo Rurumo.

Yeah, I heard that the 12 episodes cover 90 chapters of manga...which is absolutely ridonk. 2:1 is my ideal ratio normally. I guess it sounds like they did it to show the main couple getting together? I suppose I can't complain too much about that, just watched one episode and I already like the main duo. Still, I definitely want to get the true experience; I just figure I'll be dissapointed if I read the manga first. Seems to happen a lot with my manga-turned-anime...even if the anime is well done I'll always hold it to a higher standard.

I'll keep an eye on her other work; I just took a look at the cover to Yankee-kun and does look a lot like RM and FT.

Just watched OPM 2. Love that opening. Genos' never-ending monologue was hilarious. Can't wait for next episode.

Also, just looked up the voice actors, and apparently Saitama and Genos share voice actors with Banri and Mitsuo respectively in Golden Time. Random...heh...

Just watched the first ep of the original Utawarerumono again. I was wrong. It's not just better than the new one, it's miles above. Even better than I had in mind. The OP alone gave me a positive feeling about all the great characters that are introduced.

It's really sad what it has become. They made the calm and composed strategic leader into a whiney bitch that points out the obvious. And the calm and frail Eruruu is being made into a tsundere fighter apparently. Wonder how they gonna fuck up all the other characters if they introduce them at all.

Valkyrie Drive is what this season needed. Massive uncensored tits and Yuri all up in there.

Well Valkyrie Drive just went on the watch list.

Jeez, Miyuki Sawashiro was awesome as Mosquito Woman.

Tell me what you think about it.

It's not the best I've ever seen but it's the only uncensored tits we will see this season since Maou refuses to release uncensored before the BD.
