As much as I like Tokyo ESP, episode 9 was just pure bullshit.

so..uh. I just found out about Crunchyroll (guess i'm quite late)

A few questions:

1 if I have a premium membership can i use I benefit from it in multiple devices? tablet, phone, PC etc

2 Can most tablets easily stream it at 720p with no lag?

3 I noticed that if i access it on PC it lets me choose among different subtitle languages, but not on my tablet. is the option missing from the apps?

4 - when signing up for a free trial and linking your paypal account, do they do the usual "take 1€ for verification and deposit it back in" thing?

5 - how often do they add series? i noticed there are some that i'd expect to be there but aren't

6 - the regular sub (5€) gives access to nice amount of manga? or very limited?

7 - lastly...do you recommend using it? Preferrably opinions from europeans as i noticed there are a few regional restrictions due to licensing.

Yes

Most tablets from the last 2 or 3 years should handle it, no problem. It will depend more on your internet connection though.

3 I noticed that if i access it on PC it lets me choose among different subtitle languages, but not on my tablet. is the option missing from the apps?

Not sure

They usually have the most popular ones each season. If you are outside the US though, your selection could range from a bit worse to considerably worse.

6 - the regular sub (5€) gives access to nice amount of manga? or very limited?

Pretty limited. A lot of great manga don't appear on Crunchyroll.

7 - lastly...do you recommend using it? Preferrably opinions from europeans as i noticed there are a few regional restrictions due to licensing.

For a European? Nope. the selection is not as great as the US and their streaming is suboptimal. They have a chokehold on the anime monopoly outside of Japan, but at the same time their quality, subs, and selection really aren't that good.

There are plenty of websites out on the internet that have a better/bigger selection of anime than Crunchyroll and for free too. The problem is, many of these websites could be potentially against the law, depending on your country's copyright laws, so if you really want to watch anime, be forewarned.

Character of the week!

Okabe Rintarou

Anime: Steins;Gate

Bio: Okabe Rintarou is the main protagonist of Steins;Gate. He is a first year student attending Tokyo Denki University, and calls himself a Crazy Mad Scientist. He acts like a villain, but is rather immature as he frequently shows traits of Chunibyou (中二病) syndrome despite being a grown-up man. After enrolling in university, he went to Akihabara to open up a laboratory called the "Future Gadget Research Establishment," where he invents gadgets that are rather useless. He also talks to himself on the cellphone, his words not making much sense. Supposedly, he has very few friends that can understand what he's talking about. Read more at http://myanimelist.net/character/35252/Okabe_Rintarou#xxKuzoWeebBMAVYC.99
(myanimelist)

Fun Fact: The VN and anime depictions of Rintarou differ significantly, as in the VN he is very unkempt and messy compared to his anime contrapart, who is has a relatively clean appearance in comparison.

ER.. PSY CONGROO!!
