Quite expected. The 80gb has BC so now I can play PS2 games again :D. But if I were to buy this i'd be short of $20 for a Wii. Sad reality has the toughest decisions.
Oh well.....

wow brilliant plan from sony

they knew the 80gb was sellimng poorley, so they bundled it with a sexy game and a sexy new controller. i hope they draw a massive picture of mgs4 and a ds3 on tjhere box

hopw much do u think mgs4 alone will be? 69.99? ds3 will prolly be 59.99. im picking up each of those

I don't think its such a brilliant plan. If MS drops the price on the 360 (by 50) you will see a $200 gap vs the premium. That is a lot of money but good move for the MGS fans though I suppose.

Where did you hear this!?! I pre-ordered the game a few weeks ago, and I hope I didn't miss out on anything pre-ordering so early.


It's mentioned at all the same places the new PS3 bundle is. Personally, I don't think you're missing too much. For one thing, the GoW PSP comes out two months after the game does, and who wants to wait? I also think the Daxter bundle is still a little better value, since it comes with a memory stick.

The new bundle is a hell of a lot better than that crap Star Wars one though.

Yeah Im thinking something like this HAS to happen. I dont think they are giving away MGS4 for free, but even if the 80gb drops to 399, 499 is still a good deal for special edition PS3,DS3, and MGS4 included.

Since the $399 PS3 would still include a Sixaxis, wouldn't that make the value of the MGS4 bundle only about $465? You'd be better off buying the stuff separately, unless the $499 bundle has some kind of limited edition PS3 model with Snake's ass stenciled on the side.

 Yeah it is. I'm glad I held off getting a PSP, I'll definitely be getting this when it hits. I'm also happy that we have a release date for the DS3, which I also plan to get. I need to work a lot of overtime!
