Yet, you continue to argue about the horribleness of indies on PS4, while at the same time admitting that X360 had so many hideously below average indie games, that MS was forced to segregate them into their own little ghetto of craptitude.

See, all those indies were still on X360, nothing will change that fact. They were shoveled onto the marketplace faster than one could refresh the screen. The fact that some were not crap, and were allowed to play with the big boys is irrelevant.

MS even provided those developers tools to shovel even faster. MS even published sales charts of those indie games.

But, in the end, let's not forget, those were INDIE games.

Isn't that what I'm trying to say?

Am I passing my message in an alien language?

What I'm trying to say is that as more indy devs find out how to code for PS and X1, more are the chances for shi**y "Mine clones"?

No, you were trying to say that PS4 is infested with crappy 2D platformers, while XBox enforces strict quality control.

Though it is hard to follow you, because your points are all over the place, changing to suit your arguements as the prior ones get shot down.

Okay, firstly, "indie" does not mean "small games". It simply refers to a game made by a developer who is financially independent. There are further arguments as to whether the game is still indie if it is then picked up by Sony or Microsoft etc.

Secondly, here's a few of the indie games coming to PS4 in the near future...

Transistor

Sure it's 2D, but those visuals were not possible in either the 8 or 16 bit era. It's also neither a platformer or a metroid clone.

The Witness

Neither 2D, a platformer or metroid clone.

Skulls of the Shogun

2D? Yep... 8/16 bit visuals? Nope. Platformer or Metroid clone? Nope.

Drifter

Neither 2D, retro styled or a platformer or metroid clone...

I was gonna pull a load more out... but I doubt you'd take any notice and carry on with the ignorant belief that an indie game is exclusively a poorly designed 2D platformer with retro graphics so why bother?

We're not seeing in the eyes here.

What you call Indie, I call Arcade. To me those are B games.

End of story.

Quote me saying or attempting to say that.

What you call indie, is home brew.

All the games in my post were actual REAL indie games.

Have you actually seen the games? They cover a large number of genres and development budgets. Very few are 8bit styled platformers.

8 bit, 16 bit, they're mostly 2D platformers and they rarely branch out.

For every 1 non 2D platformer, there are 10 2D platformer.

I'm talking about small games. Let's discuss it inthis perspective games smaller than 1/2GB and the ones over it.

Metroidvania style, Mario style how many times have you heard these expressions to describe small games in the past 5 years?

This is what I call Indie.

One of my defintion: Tom Happ is the sole developer, artist, and musician of the game, and began work on it in March 2010 as a side project

Let me post a Youtube comment on the video above:
"
When Nintendon't, Sony does. ;)

But seriously, how can't Nintendo see how many Metroid like games come out and everyone jumps for joy every time. Just look at Kickstarter, it might as well be called "Metroidvania Starter"."

You can't redefine something to support your argument.

You dislike games with small/single development teams that don't have graphics you deem worthy. Not indie games. Axium Verge is a home brew game which has been deemed good enough by Sony to release.

Given that a) I've not played that game and b) it hasn't even been released yet. It's a bit premature to call it crap.

How did you feel about Guacamelee which was one of 2013's best games?

The thread title is nice.. :/
