registering with bungie is dead simple, and for ps4 at least its already done to sign up for the beta.
making you wait for MP is so you can not only learn the mechanics of the game, but also find weapons you like. while the crucible is normally equalized, having a good weapons(youll want good special and heavy aswell) and gear that can boost your super/grenade/knife can be a big difference. not only that, but also unlock skills to use. they also have the iron banner where it isnt balanced.
if you go with the flow and follow the order the game is intended, it tells you to go to the crucible. but really the campaign is a heck of alot of fun, with challenges even when you reach the level 8 cap.
Dont forget to explore. Lots of ghosts to revive, and the cosmodrome is FILLED with loot crates. if you go into explore, and search properly, its easy to find 15-20 per trip. lol Ive got 10 grand, 2 new space ships, expensive emblem and cloak. and a vault filled with house banners, in case they let us keep our vault items :P
