Spiderman pushed back?

NOOOOOOOOOOO!

but sinister six in 2016! But yeah shame spiderman is pushed back, especially with the worry whether a 4 year gap will tire out the series.

I really do not see putting Uncharted out in June and Spider-Man in August creating much overlap or issue (unless I am missing something).

No, god no!

This would definitely be a day 1 for me. Love the Uncharted universe and I'm sure it will be hard to please everyone and recreate it faithfully to please every last person, but as long as you go in understanding this, I think you'll be fine.

Does anyone really need an Uncharted movie? like really? I guess it could be worthwhile if it's an original storyline but If it's just a rehash of the game im confused. Trying to avoid saying the games play like movies here as thats not wholly true and does them a disservice but they are definately linear and put story/setpieces first.

It's happening... I can't believe it's actually happening!

Aren't they also doing TLOU and Ratchet too? I suppose it's easy money but I don't know whether they will turn out to be any good. It kind if feels like they are milking it.

That being said, I wish Studio Ghibli made a complete movie of Ni No Kuni.

And also nothing is easy money. People have to work hard inc the actors, directors, editors, stunt doubles to make a good movie. The movie industry is very critical, and probably about 35% of movies released ever get a good (70+) rating on the likes of rotten tomatoes, metacritic etc.

It's easy money in that the games are so successful that any film based on them is practically guaranteed to at the very least break even.

SO many game movies these days, Resident Evil, Wreck it Ralpth, and soon Fatal Frame, Pixels and now Uncharted.

I want a Metroid Prime trilogy movie :(

As a huge Metroid Prime fan (I've finished the 1st about 10 times and it's my favourite game of all time), I have to say that I think that is a ridiculous idea.

Lol, I think it would be fun ;P

Just because something is "fun" doesn't mean it's good for the franchise. Metroid Other M almost ruined the Metroid franchise - it was unbelievably bad. A movie would probably do the same. Metroid is a silent, exploration game. That DOES NOT translate to a good movie without changing things fundamentally.

They were all horrible though (except the first Silent Hill. That was decent)
