and how many times has a Halo remastered being produced? isnt this the 3rd, fourth time? name me another remaster from Nauthy Dog ever? since everyone loves to complain...this is bullshit and you know it. this isnt the only remaster coming out. But people just want to vomplain about this one. Maybe because it is a lauded game or it is because they will never have it on thier favorite system. No other thread about windmaker or GTAV or Tomb Raider or Halo but TLOU gets a 200+ thread of dudes whinning about a product, they claim to have absolutly no interest in.... |
Who cares how many times they've been produced. 4 games. $60. All games together are worth atleast $70. That means Halo: CE A, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Not factoring DLC in at all. Worth over $70. Being sold for $60. TLOU is worth $30 without DLC, and at most $40 with DLC. That's all there is to it.
Naughty Dogs gets to overprice their game because it's their first go at a remaster? Seriously? People only complain about this one? Really? People didn't go ape shit about the bullshit Tomb Raider pulled? People didn't rant when Deus Ex: DX was $50 on the Wii U, but $30 everywhere else like it should have been?
You know why people don't complain about Wind Waker? It's a ten year old game. It's value isn't from being remastered, it's from actually being playable. You realize that a used copy of WW GCN is worth more than a new copy of TLOU, right? $30-$40. You realize that a new copy of it is worth upwards of $100, right? You know how much a new copy of Halo 2 is worth? $16.
I'd never pay $50 for WWHD because I own the original, but they can get away with it because actually it's still actually valued so high and it's a game not playable on a modern console for 10 years.

I remember Naughty Dog saying that the engine TLOU ran on is built for the PS4, so you're right. |
No he isn't. Hardly is. Just about every game produced is made with higher res models, that are then downgraded to fit what the hardware can handle. Also, the engine might have been built to run on ps4 but it was still coded for the ps3. Meaning all the specialized code for the cell was now useless. There's no easy button, never will be either.

None of them should. No year old season pass is still worth what it was at launch just because it's digital.
| krippaz said: Why the hate.... Dont buy it. If you you have it on PS3 play it there but please stop whining. |
Yeah. Now calling out bullshit is whining.

People buy them because they literally can't buy them cheaper. They aren't willing. They are forced. You think the season pass is selling as much as it was at launch. I'll take a wild guess and say that it isn't.
like it's already been said about a billion times "if you already own/owned the Ps3 version no one is forcing YOU to purchase it again with all the DLC updated graphics and smother gameplay, it's not like it's a 10 year old game now!".
ill make things more simple, you can get most multiplats/brand exclusives on last gen for $50 but do not have the visual or game play enhancements that have been made to the next gen versions, these enhancements are not free either, now instead of moaning about the price maybe just maybe you can help the people who buy the HD remaster, again "no one is forcing you to buy it so just quit with the moaning".
rant over.

Who ever said I was buying it? I've said numerous times in this thread that anyone buying this game can buy it to their hearts content. No one's judging them. That doesn't make it any less of a blatant rip off.
