The only truly next-gen games, will be exclusives to either the PS4 or XB1, because 3rd party devs are far too interested in parity, to avoid dealing with one annoyed company/fanbase over another.

Lol, what PS4 games? Compared to the PS3 I mean. I'm not trying to be a dick either. That's the reason people upgrade. When new technology begins to outshine old technology with it's content. I already beat InFAmous SS. That and Killzone is all there really is. And LBP3 this year.

Why would I buy a PS4 for Destiny this year when I can buy it for whatever the hell is coming out for next year and still play Destiny this year, only with free online? 

I'm with you on that I don't get why people would spend on new consoles when they can play the same games on older consoles. I guess higher resolution makes games better for some people :P

I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this. Think about it people. If the games are running just fine on PS3 and 360, think about how good they COULD be, if they were made to be so good they COULDN'T run on PS3 or 360. At the rate things are going, I'm worried we'll see about as many truly new gen games taking full advantage of what the new consoles have to offer as we saw Wii games actually make full use of the motion control potential (aka a small handful). Here's hoping at least one of those is Elder Scrolls. If ESVI ends up being cross gen I will burn down Bethesda.

It is on PS3 and PS3 online will always remain free. And no, PS3 and PS4 players can't play together

There hasn't been too many PS360/PS4XBO cross gen titles that actually look that much better on the current gen. Most look like the same game with resolution differences. Battlefield 4 looks much better and Watch Dogs is a bit better, mostly the same.

It's as "next gen" as Watch_Dogs and Titanfall.

I bought my first ps3 in november 2006. second one in december 2010. Basically had a PS3 for 7yrs. i would have got a PS4 even if it only had tetris on it just cause i was ready to move onto the new console (fortunately it had a lot more than tetris).

There is this habit I picked up when i was a kid and still kinda do it for kicks till this day. From the day I picked up the PS3 (started this from the PS1), I literally put $10 in a sealed shoe-box with a slit on top and labelled 'NEXT GEN'. By the time i got my PS4, I had exactly $710 in that box. Already have another box titled NEXT GEN right now. This is just one such story of people that would spend on new consoles. Oh, I am a crazy MGS fanatic. I would probably hang myself if i felt i wasn't playing the best version of any MGS game.

Besides, some people just like geting things cause they are new.
