EA Does extremely well in Europe, folks. Fifa competes quite strongly with Winning Eleven (it may have outsold it this year? In any case, it's near 50/50 sales). Here, just look at these:

http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=7260

All of these games sold much more in Europe than in America, especially when one considers that all three consoles have thus far sold more in NA than in the EU. There are a lot more examples, I'm sure -- these were chosen rapidly. The point is: EA is huge in Europe. If they're bigger in North America, it's not by much.

It will be the only system you can play NFL games on. I doubt it would kill Sony, but could kill MS.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I think all that would do would be to kill some of the sales for their games. Not everyone is going to buy a console for a game, and certainly not for a sports games. As for the FIFA in Europe, that wouldn't sell anything on a EA console because Europe would just buy the PS3 and buy Winning Eleven.

Doing this would kill sales, not improve it. And the financial commitment one has to make to enter the hardware race would just destroy any profits (if any) that could be made. It would probably hurt Microsoft the most, EA the would be effected by a good amount, Sony the third (though very little hurt would come from this) and Nintendo the least.

If EA were to make a console, that would be cool....right???

Actually, I'd be willing to bet that their contract stipulates that EA must make the game for each platform every year.

That said, an EA system would outright fail.  They wouldn't be able to compete on a price to power ratio with Sony and MS and they wouldn't be able to compete with Nintendo in innovation or quality.  Plus, they know nothing about building hardware, and don't have many flagship titles capable of pushing system sales in the even that third parties don't support the system (and chances are, many wouldn't).  Really, it'd be the 3D0 all over again, except that instead of just Trip Hawkins taking the fall it'd be all of EA.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

Very little affect on Nintendo... it seems most don't buy Nintendo consoles for EA games.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Hey, it'd be cool if it killed them!  : )

Too bad they wouldn't do it, they got too much to lose and are probably not too delighted about the prospect of challenging Sony and Nintendo, not to mention MS for US domination.

Remember the Golden Rule kids, no matter how much money you have, Microsoft has more :) lol.
