Is this only for Europeans?

I was at Gamescon in Cologne a few years back. It's pretty cool and a very nice and friendly city. It gets hot though in the summer so pack shorts! :p

Took part yesterday, actually hoping to win, as I could finally go this year.

When I atttempted to register the country list was short and I saw only European ones listed as could not find United States.  If anyone from outside there does register let me know.
