My take is Japanese companies always give most of the power to the Japanese employees when it comes to making vital strategy decisions.  Western branches are responsible for implementing policy and have a say if the policy doesn't work, but generally speaking Japan sets the policy.  Microsoft and EA are the same I think, except with American policy dominating.   


What about Shane Kim, the head of MS' games division?  He is Japanese.

 

OT: Harrison was one of the faces I liked to associate with Sony--a nice, down-to-earth(-ish) guy who actually knew how to get games people wanted.  Jack Tretton, by comparison, is just a self-centred idiot.
