>Saint seiya

Why do you call it Saint Seiya? I've always thought the name of the anime was "Knights of the Zodiac"

For me is Caballeros del zodiaco, but the original name is Saint seiya

i used to watch Inuyasha all the time but now i dont! sometimes...but rarely.

They're making Haruhi season 2.

I'm not posting my favorite anime on this site again.

"Why isn't samus in a mario kart game?"

@ArtofAngels

The answer to your question is Haibane Renmei. A series I am intimately familiar with personally owning the entire series. The series also comes highly recommended by most any fan who remotely knows what they are talking about. Actually its goddamn scary just how little so many supposed fans on this site know about their professed love.

I don't blame them really they just take what Adult Swim gives them, and thats their little world. However they really need to consider expanding their horizons. Renting is always a viable option subscription plans are a good way to get serious bang for buck. The frugal spender can get massive amounts of material. Many series can be purchased for under thirty dollars especially when they are introduced in thin packs. So with a little research and some small risks you can really expand your perceptions.

Anyway these list threads are tiresome they are always retreads of the same stuff you can find on television. I was buying these series long before cartoon network was running them. These days I am more interested in hidden gems. Among my favorite recent series I have discovered

Kaze no Yojimbo, Black Lagoon, Karin. All well off the beaten path, but all well worth seeing. Beyond that I am more then happy to discuss series in forum mails especially if someone is looking for something very specific.

I'll come out and say it:

Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are mediocre. I haven't seen much of his other works.

 /agree

Though I would add in his other crap movies too.  He does some interesting art and animation stuff but that's about it (I had friends that made me watch those movies).  The movies really aren't anything special.

As for other anime, even a good anime is at best mediocre.  I've seen a lot of the big ones that people tell me I must watch (though nothing in the last few years) and most just aren't good.

I can stomach Naruto and DBZ just because the action can be fun but they still really aren't that good.  I would rather watch the last season of Friends and then follow it up with Joey that watch most of those shows.

Amen to that. The stories just aren't very engaging in most cases. People praise half the mech anime around like it's the second coming of Christ and then bash Transformers the movie when in reality, neither one is worth a shit.

BTW, Neon Genesis Evangelion can suck my balls. The story is trite with faux depth, the characters are annoying, and the mech combat doesn't save the rest of the piece from itself. I would rather watch almost anything over that shit.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Ugh, I can't stand the mech anime. They are all just as ridiculous as the next and just as similar as the next one. The only sub genre that has more similar shows would be the gotta catch em all ones.
