It's probably so people pay more to get the console of their choice on there. I saw it happen with Unsung Story as well, but it didn't work on there, and I doubt it works here at this point .

So Wii U is cheap to develope for?

From the beginning the developers had the stretch goals in the opposite order! After some calculating and a poll they put the Wii U first. See update 6:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1867607597/midora-0/posts/883909

Update 7: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1867607597/midora-0/posts/883938

"That was a quick poll! Looking at the results and considering the gap between each console/platform, we think it's safe to say nothing will change. So, here are the new stretch goals!"

"At $80,000, we will port the game on Wii U and 3DS. We are happy to see so many of you voted for this console port. It's just incredible how bad you want it!"

Coming to Wii U and 3DS?  Huh?  Isn't that the 80k stretch goal?

I'd probably fund this if it had a shot at coming to Vita.

That was fast? All within a few days?

They promised that the game would come to all stretch goal consoles!

BUT to get it in Q1 2015 they have to hire additional staff to make it.

That is how you should read the stretch goals:

$60 000 = Everyone on every console will get the game sometime in the future.

$80 000 = Wii U & 3DS will get it Q1 2015.

$100 000 = PS4 & PSV will get it Q1 2015.

$120 000 = iOS & Android will get it Q1 2015.

$140 000 = X360 & XOne will get it Q1 2015.

If you pay $10 now you essentially pre-order the game with unspecified delivery date. If the stretch goal for your console is reached you should get the game in Q1 2015.

You can continue pre-ordering trough PayPal after today, but without the accountability that Kickstarter provides.

Update 10
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1867607597/midora-0/posts/893999

"The way stretch goals are presented make it look like the game will not be ported if we don't reach the goal. This isn't true! Right now we have plans to port Midora on all platforms and consoles possible. Console ports will happen no matter what, it's just a matter of time. If we don't reach those stretch goals, that only means the game will be ported later. With the extra money from stretch goals however, we can hire a few people to have the game ported while we're making progress, which in turn means releasing the game on consoles sooner, or even allowing us to release simultaneously."
