Forums - Nintendo - I hope Watch Dogs for Wii U Sells Very Good but NOT too much!

Will you be getting Watch Dogs for Wii U?

Yes 114 49.57%

No 116 50.43%

Total:230

This is why. If Watch Dogs sells good and makes UBI a profit off the Wii U version, they will continue to support the Wii U as long as they are making a profit. Here is the downside. I wish it does not sell amaxing because then UBI will think: We made a huge profit on this game although it released late on the Wii U.

This may get us even more gimped or late third party if any at all. What do you think?

With regards to multiplats, at this point they're going to get gimpd versions regardless. Hidden by some wiiu touchscreen stuff

I think 'late third party' is better than 'no third party'. I'd say let it sell as much as possible and hope it's a lot (even though I know better), because it's probably Ubisoft's make or break game regarding WiiU support. And one can hardly blame them. I don't think they would purposely continue to delay games for no reason if they end up being satisfyingly profitable on WiiU.

@ Poll: I was going to, but user reception has been a bit mild on the other consoles. I'll probably wait for a price-cut.

I am semi tempted to get it; partly because it might be fun, mostly to show Wii U support (and to lead to more 3rd party support).
But then I remember its an Ubisoft game and dislike their practices and found AC4 very average.

If I buy it or not, either way I lose.

If the game comes out in August or early September, it seems reasonable for it to sell 100k its first week. I hope it sells like 200k or so and at least a million lifetime to impress UBI. I guess all it needs to sell to make a profit is probably 1m.

If it sells well they will likely release more titles such as the Division or AC Unity. You should hope it sells as well as possible.

Lol. No one thinks that way. If they see huge sales they will not think about how ok it was to release it late. They will think about how many sales are lost because they didn't release earlier.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

You don't need to worry, it won't sell too much.

I'm undecided - I want Ubisoft to show off the Wii U version first; show how the game works on that console.

Anyone with a PS3/4 X360/1 will not buy this. I would wager that makes up less than %10 of U owners.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
