Somehow VGChartz has the PS Vita down only 7% from prior week even though the PS Vita has been OUT OF STOCK at all major retailers (GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Target) since at least June 15th. Normally we all say that VGChartz undertracks the PS Vita as with the last NPD was off by 30k or so. But how can it only be down 7% when it wasn't even available for the most part???

Bets:

(Won)Bet with TechoHobbit: He(Techno) says 10 million by January 1,2014 I say 9 million by then. Winner gets 2 weeks of sig control.

(Lost)Bet with kinisking: I say Ps4 will win April NPD while he says Xbox One will win it; winner gets 1 week of avatar control.

Raichu's First Series:

First RPG?

First Fighter?

First Racer?

First Shooter?

First MMO?

First Horror?

Official Ni No Kuni Fanboy:

Familiars Captured:37

Game Beaten: 2 times almost

Times I got teary during some scenes: 3

Don't trust VGCs numbers too much. I don't think they are correct. Wait for next weeks NPD numbers.

Pretty much NO larger retailer had it in stock ONLINE.  With that being the case it its an IMPOSSIBLE to only be down 7%.   Again.. Target, Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, and Walmart did NOT have it available to order during the week of these results. Several of them had no IN STORE availability either.

Yeah, undertracked the weeks before or overtracked the week ending the 28th.
But who knows. VGC's wrong somewhere just like last month. I'll wait for NPD to see anything at all. I still can't believe the May boost. It's going to be way down from that but not near as dead as April.

VGC isn't tracking the PS Vita slim model. The PS Vita is avaiable in 2 ways in the US: Slim model bundled with Borderlands 2 and old OLED model. The shipments for the OLED model stopped some months ago. So, VGC isn't tracking the Vita at all now. So there is no point in discussing anything about VGC numbers because they are pathetically off for Vita right now in the US. I wouldn't recommend believing on them for PS4, X1 or Wii U too and would take 3DS numbers with a grain of salt. Last gen numbers are being reasonably decent.

Well its clear Sony has little interest in supporting it based on upcoming 1st party software.

However, keeping it around and letting 3rd parties support it probably doesn't cost Sony much and keeps fans happy.
