killzone doesn't get the love it deserves.

..i kind of get it. everyone seems to want every fps to be a CoD style run-and-gun which killzone certainly is not. for me i love the bit slower paced, somewhat tactical gameplay. it really resonates with me and killzone is easily my favorite fps franchise.

the mp was the best in the series, or at least tied with kz2. regardless it was a huge step up from kz3. i really want to buy the co-op expansion but it's really hard to play anything multiplayer with a new born around. i'm pretty much relegated to single player games as i have to be ready to step away at a moments notice. oh well.

Kids are a 24 hour job. Last night, finally in a decent lobby in GT6, 2 lap Nurburgring, I'm doing great, yep there goes the baby monitor again. Park in gravel. Come back and I have been kicked from the lobby. It's a wonder I made it through DS2 without major losses.
Best games to play with a newborn is turn based, I played Valkyria chronicles with our first on my lap. The youngest one still comes to lie down on the couch with me while I'm playing, but you can't play online or fps then either. The language...

Every game should have pause and save anytime options. Adding that is more useful than dumbing it down to lure in the casuals. I haven't watched 'live' tv since 2003, why do (single player) games still think it's ok to make you play until the next save point. Like your movie player saying, sorry this bit is too awesome to pause, watch it now or start again from the beginning.

Single player KZ:SF was fun anyway. First time as a careful sniper, second time more run and gun as I knew what to expect.

i feel for U OP.

you have to ask yourself, what is more important. being a father or being a gamer. i think you know what the answer to that is.

I liked Shadow Fall, it just wasn't as good as I hoped. But in all seriousness it's my fault for hyping myself up to unrealistic levels. It was certainly a decent 1 type playthrough and OK MP. 7.5/10

Play Wolfenstein the New Order. It's incredible. Played it through 3 times without even taking a break for another game. It destroys Killzone.  Also, with regards to the Gold headset.  At least for me, it is not loud enough.  I have been destroying my hearing for 15-20 years with heavy metal, gun shooting etc., but IMO, they do not go loud enough volume of basswise for me.  There are better alternatives.

Would you mind suggesting one?

I'm looking into getting a headset at the moment.

i do.   swing dancer.

but really, father first of course.  i don't feel bad about gaming while he sleeps in the least but i do have to be able to step away quickly.  ps4 has been great for that actually with being able to put games into suspend mode.
