Thanks for all of the good ideas. I would seriouly think of selling my 360 and getting a PS3 if not for Halo 3 and Gears of War.
Before I thought that PS3s didn't have too many good games, but now I see that I was wrong and should strongly consider buying one.

My only advice is be sure first! I "kinda" wanted a PS3 I went out and bought one and I'm kind of upset that I did. I don't use it much and now there's the silver PS3 coming(damn it!)

These are top of the line games you should buy for the ps3.

Is it true about a silver PS3, if so I want that instead.

 its coming to japan, but not to america. they havent even announced it in america and it didnt even come out in japan yet.

 if you hurry up, you can get the 80 gb system which does have good backwards compatibility to play old ps2 games. it costs 499.

if you get the 40 gb, it has no backwards compatibility, but it costs only 399.

there are rumors of a new system that will replace the 80 gb. b/c

 a lot of stores like gamestop are not going to be stocking the 80 gig anymore.

That's basically what I did except I hurried to buy the 60GB when I heard about no more BC on the 40.

As far as only in Japan, it doesn't matter import it Blu-ray region has America and Japan in the same section so it's not like it could really hurt(though some games may change pending region.)

Uncharted, first and foremost. This is easily my favorite ps3 game, and my favorite next-gen game after LoZ: TP.

After that, check out Heavenly Sword if you like hack n' slash games like DMC and GoW. Be warned, though, as the game is pretty short. Ratchet & Clank Future is also a fun platformer, and Resistance: Fall of Man was a fun shooter, for a launch game.

As for upcoming games, MGS4 and LittleBigPlanet are at the top of my list, with games like Valkyrie of the Battlefield (Strategy RPG), White Knight Story (Action JRPG), and the Eternal Sonata ps3 port following close behind. Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 should also impress, the former for it's graphics, and the latter for it's 8-player co-op and 60-man online.
