Forums - Gaming - USA pre order 28 June

If I didn't make myself clear enough there : SO will have decent preorder numbers but will die on the vine for in store impulse buyers due to bigger titles launching at same timeframe.

This is getting beyond a joke....

The Crew at 33k has more pre-orders than Halo MCC and Sunset Overdrive?

Really?

Or perhaps, much like TF, some people are placing too much hope on MCC and SO. The MCC will sell well, but it's main appeal is for the core Halo players. The mainstream that makes the series huge won't care nearly as much, jn my opinion. As for SO, it's not going to do very well. Insomniac will probably be coming back to Ratchet again. Really wish sony would give the R&C series to someone else. If Insomniac wnats independence they should be truly independent.

The Crew has been getting pre-ordered since last year. Also it has won multiple Best Racing Game of E3 awards.

Of course it would be higher than Halo: MCC.

LOL  Welcome to Insominac games. I've been saying it for months now. You can love there art style all you want. People don't buy there games..Period.

lol... Insomniac now public enemy number 1 and a crappy developer for some all of a sudden I see.  Welcome to the club I have been a member of for over 9 years, where have you been?  Hilarious.

It may not sell massive numbers, but I am sure it should be on this chart.

From what I saw on Amazon, there's a lot of other games that out-preordered SO during E3 -- and not just ones already on this list.

Hyrule Warriors, Uncharted 4, Xenoblade, Tomb Raider to name a few...

The truth is that SO is a niche game by a niche developer that'll get some praise and attention, but then be swept under in the Fall/Holiday season with lots of big releases -- even if ends up being on of XBO best games. It's like XBO's the Wonderful 101.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

and Halo MCC ins there because....?

Relax dude. Most of the games on the top of the preorder chart have been announced for pretty long time compared to Halo MCC. It'll get there.

I was dumbstruck by your killer logic.

Been able to pre-order for longer = higher on the chart for sure.

Thats genius.

I didn't mean to say 'for sure' but yes it does matter. Also you see to completely miss my second point.

Besides you can't expect an HD Collection to do incredible numbers. The best-selling one, God Of War; Collection has sold 2.5 million units in 5 years.

Did you just compare God of War with Halo?

Halo CE Anniversary sold 1.0m in 2 weeks.

I expect stealth adjustments for Halo MCC on this chart as time passes.

I guess we shall see.

And Halo: CEA has only sold 2.25 million so far in its lifetime.

I'm not comparing Halo: MCC with God Of War, but rather with the best-selling HD Collection ever, which IS God Of War: Collection.

Though neither am I saying that VGC cannot be wrong, as they've been so countless times.

Yep, there's no way in hell MCC shouldn't be on there. The core XB1 fanbase that bought Titanfall in droves are the exact same people that have preordered MCC. If we had actual numbers for it, it would be well up there, not to Destiny levels but not ridiculously behind that either. On XB1 MCC should sell around half of what COD:AW does, which is not bad.

People shouldn't expect it to be a system seller, because it just isn't. Halo 5 might well be, if 343 ups their game.

VGC sales numbers being off are bad enough, but these preorder numbers are so terrible and broken that they shouldn't even be posted quite honestly.

Just to add some oil to the "MCC is missing from the charts"-fire, this is from the article about last weeks pre order chart:

"Requests: Hyrule Warriors (WiiU) added 3,898 pre-orders for a total of 4,943. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4) added 843 pre-orders for a total of 16,996. Halo: The Master Chief Collection entered the charts this week with 6,790 pre-orders."

The pre order charts make absolutely zero sense and this site should honestly be a bit ashamed of itself for publishing it in this state every week.
