Let's start by saying,(in events like the world cup) I always get dissapointed by the results of the important maches:
1)So, yesterday ,since I've always been a fan of Netherlands, I wanted them to succeed and proceed to the next round.
Things didn't start well BUT on 88' Netherlands scored and then on 93' they got a penalty and eventually they passed.
2) (for those of you who have never played Pokemon, this will probably mean nothing to you)
I've been trying to get an item for 5 days. I was "farming" while watching World Cup matches and gess what....
I got the item I was searching for, yesterday.And it's not over.I also got 2 Shinys (Dragonair and Klefki) and one of them is also viable for competitive battling.
3) And lastly, my national team Greece... despite losing 1-0 since the begginig of the 2nd half, managed and to score on 90+1' and get to extra time.
Unfortunately penalties didn't end well for us and now we are out of the World Cup.
So why do I considere yesterday being a lucky day?
2 reasons.
1) Throughout all these years watching football, I had literally never experienced the joy of "scoring on the last minute".
But now in this world cup it has happened three times for the teams I support.
2)At the beggining of the tournament I had zero expectations for Greece, cause you know,we do not play very good football, and especially after our 1st match where we lost 3-0 to Colombia I'd lost all hope.But they did it.Greece got to the last 16 for the first time in our history and we were a breath away from the last 8.
Of cousre I don't complain, last 16 is perfect for us.
