Devil May Cry 4 is the equivlilent to Bonestorm which was on an episode of the Simpsons. After the install on the PS3, I hit start and saw the opening cut scene and was like "Cool! All I did was press start" Can't wait to get deeper in to DMC 4.
Just started DMC4 as well.
My experience was quite the opposite:
"Ah crap, Installing onto Hard Drive... Oh wait! they are retelling the first 3 games! Sweet, haven't played no.2 so I have no idea what the latest story with Dante is!.. AH CRAP they finished retelling no.3 and it's only been 30%"
After retelling the story another 2 times, turned out to be a great game, doesn't touch DMC3 (my favourite) or even the original, but at least it upholds the standard set by those two games. Loving the addition of Nero's Devil arm, makes chaining combo's a little more easier and a little more cool looking. I would have to say the worst part about this game is the overly long cutscenes (I can pretty much say after playing the first 2 missions (tutorial and first proper mission) I've spent more time watching cutscenes then actually playing, breaks up the pace too much imo. But that's a very small issue.
I just finished this game on Devil Hunter mode. The install took a while, but just like the TC I was hooked right after the opening video.
Very good game indeed. I guess I should go back and play 3 as it is the only one I have not completed yet.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Once you've played the game for over one hundred hours you look back at the install and actually smile. realizing you actually got back those 25 minutes with every couple seconds you save each time the game is loading...
Don't worry about the cut scenes. Mission 1 and 2 are heavy with them, as you will progress the mission will take longer and there will be less cut-scenes ( still quite a few but nowhere as many as in mission 1..). Only others missions really heavy with cut scenes are mission 12 and mission 20...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

personally i love the long cutscenes. I am into games for the story and for the gameplay and i thought this game balanced it well. 2 thumbs up for me. Another reason why i liked Uncharted as well. I set the install going and went to the grocery store. Came back, and bam...low install times. Go figure.
Tell your parents, "BUY ME BONESTORM OR GO TO HELL!!" No, it can't be that good! No More Heroes on the other hand...
