I have seen on here that Amiibo prices are similar to that of Skylanders or Disney Infinity figures in other contries, and have been wondering if they will be the same price for us in Australia. But to my dismay EB Games have listed them on their website for $29.95 each.

I really hope this is simply a place holders price, but if not I will probably not buy any unless they go down a lot in sales.

Seriously, I buy new games for less than $30 (albeit slightly older titles) and I cannot see myself spending more on plastic figures than I do on games.

Just to clarify, in Australia Skylanders are $15 RRP and about $10 on sale, while Disney Infinity are $18 RRP and about $15 on sale.

Isn't everything in Australia insanely overpriced? I also thought some other website priced Amiibo at 15$? Much of this just seems to be speculation that websites always do. Placeholders, maybe.

If the 30$ price is true in N. America, then these will flop worse than the Wii U itself.

well.........in Uk they are (placeholder ish) 12£...........rathly same as disney infity or skylanders ones.
