Now the world is weird  and people take Prozac  to make it normal.

Is marijuana the best medicine?

Nope, no ulterior motives here.  Move along, move along.

Like everyone before me said, these guys didn't like Brawl also. And let me state the ABSOLUTE TRUTH: If you don't like Brawl, you don't own a Wii.

Think about it.

Why are these guys playing Wii games, then?

i think everyone here realizes that mario kart is NOT going to look pretty but i doubt it wont look "good"

as for it being developed by a "B" team - that sounds possible with Nintendo's new focus on casual entertainment. The gameplay mechanics might not be up to the standards that were set by previous Mario Kart games (not counting Double Dash)

remember --- Double Dash didn't look that great and got mediocre scores.

OH I heard what your talking about. It's called inoculating the audience they both love nintendo so much they want to play it down so they can hype it up when it comes out. Well at least Matt, Bozon I think is a X-box fan.

"Back off, man. I'm a scientist."

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

Did IGN really say that Brawl wasn't a good game? The only criticism I've heard from them was the Subspace storyline/single player mode, but I could be wrong.

Scoop!

I love gamescoop and greg miller (psn editor with ign who is on scoop) loves both brawl and mario kart.

For those who don't know, scoop is made up of members who cover each console. So there is often a nintendo, xbox, and psn guy. I haven't heard ep 69 yet, but chances are the guy was either the host (neutral party) or the xbox team.

Also, the wii crew loves both brawl and kart. They have said they don't think brawl is the best game on the console but it's sure to score in the low to mid 9s.

People need to understand that the podcast has multiple view points cause the editors cover different consoles.

Learn more before you aimless hate on the ign crew.

Scoop!

Considering it's only a few months from the European launch of the game, I'd say it's IN beta and going through final polish as we speak...

It's NOT a pretty game compared to some of the others available for the Wii(Not so bad in motion, but UGH, the still shots are pretty bad).  Granted, sacrifices had to be made to make sure it runs at a smooth frame rate during four player split-screen, but some of the character models actually seem LESS detailed than the ones in Double Dash.

None of this matters as long as it plays well, which I hope it does.

I personally don't care if it had N64 graphics, as long as the control is smooth, & the courses are waky & fun, I'm O.K

oh, & Toadette MUST be playable.

After looking through some movies and screenshots, I'd have to say Mario Kart Wii looks significantly WORSE than Double Dash. That's extremely poor of Nintendo, considering Double Dash looked like a Dreamcast game.

But hey! Console Mariokart splitscreen online! This game will rock your panties.
