Forums - Gaming - EA UFC Worth Buying?

Played the demo, but I have mixed feelings about it. I've been a UFC fan since UFC 1, and I'm looking for only an authentic experience. I haven't played it a lot so I'd like to know if my inexperience is the reason for the problems I noticed. I'm willing to practice a lot if there's a result behind it. Here are some questions for people who've played it more than me:

1. The transitions on the ground are too easy to do. How can you escape from full mount that fast, and stand up out of it immediately? How can reversals happen that easily from dominant positions? Is it because I just don't defend the transitions well yet, and being a top-game juggernaut comes with practice? Or is this really just too hard to do?

2. The submission mini-game is frustratingly difficult to pull off. Is it because I lack practice? Or is it that submissions are really not the focus of the game?

3. Superman punches, showtime kicks, roundhouse kicks, flying knees, etc. are too easy to pull off and I don't feel that there's any penalty for just spamming moves like that. Is it because I don't know yet how to defend them and take advantage of them? Or are these moves really part of the core gameplay?

4. Takedowns are too easy to get and too difficult to defend. Also, I don't see any sprawls happening. Is this because I don't know what I'm doing? Or is it really the idea behind the gameplay mechanic?

Around the Network

It has a few issues but overall Im loving it.

Takes a while to get used to but the longer I play the game the more I'm liking it

I played the demo for hours and I still don't understand the submission system and struggle with grappling.

I'll get it eventually, but I think I prefer Undisputed 3 and EA MMA.
