Wow. I think the doubters have been silenced since Wii Fit consistently manages a top 5 spot in Japanese sales. I don't doubt that a lot of people here wanted badly for it to fail. We Nintendians have much to be pleased about.

But Japan doesn't count anymore because they all bought Wii Fit. Now that they've proven to buy gimmicky peripheral minigames, Japan itself has flopped.

well this prompts me to make a similar thread to the one linked in the OP for those two regions.. i'd like to read other peoples opinions about those sales too .. then down the line we can have a similar thread to this :P

My mom just now was talking to me about using games for exercise, she said someone had recommended using DDR for that purpose. I informed her of the existence of Wii Fit and now she's really excited about it.

@Final Fan, i'm in a similar situation, this is actually the first time my parents have the same level of enthusiasm as me for the release of a game.. so i'll be picking up 2 come launch
It actually comes out close to my birthday so I'm thinking about making them buy it
