They stuck with the Wii name with Wii U because they thought they could bring all the Wii owners to Wii U, that clearly isn't working so nope.

The next Nintendo console won't have "Wii" in the name, as for 3DS successor, it's a little harder to say since it's still doing really well and I think 45m sold already.

They should name it something as far away from the Wii brand as possible, name it Nintendo 7 or Nintendo Omega, just anything but Wii, it's time to move on. The DS name is fine but I don't know where they go from here.
