NES / SNES, Genesis, PS2, PS360

not sure about handhelds really but 3ds and vita do seem promising just not my gaming cup of tea

It's really kind of debatable between the PSX, PS2, and PS360.

Most of the PSX quality games are RPGs, and while it's got a lot of high quality games in other genres, there's not nearly as many and the quality in some of the genres that started with 3D games has enhanced on the PS2 and PS3..

Now on the PS2 the quality of the average action game has increased and there were a lot of good and great JRPGs. There's a lot of games that are higher quality.

The PS3 might have less games worth getting than the PS2, not too much less imo, but the games are of higher quality depending on the genre. The PS360 has a few good JRPGs, but overall the genre is terrible on those two consoles. The average action game has much better AI and control than ever before.

The 360 doesn't have all the PS3 exclusives, so it loses a lot of quality games that push the PS3 up above the PS2. Games like Yakuza 3, 4, Demon's Souls, Infamous 1, 2, Uncharted 1, 2, 3, LBP 1, 2, Twisted Metal, etc. I'd say that the PS2 and 360 are close or about equal in quality.



I'd actually say it goes PS1, PS3, 360~PS2, SNES, NES, Genesis, Gamecube....
