thoses specific features are broken, headlights shadows are sometimes cut in half when activated, that's why they didn't make it in the final game.

And yet there are plenty of actually functioning features that they kept out as well.

And how hard would it be to fix headlight shadows? Independent modders will probably be able to fix that in no time.

Ya never know. Maybe they'll come out with a Game of the Year version with better graphics, and offer to "upgrade" previous games to the new version by paying a small fee.
