Forums - Gaming - Battlefield Hardline beta not 900 and has significant frame rate drops.

Played it on my PC this morning, not impressive, it's Battlefield, just with different objectives that doesn't change anything

Sony is terrible at lying. Why do you people keep supporting them?

EA and Visceral lied http://gamingbolt.com/battlefield-hardline-will-run-at-1080p60fps-on-xbox-one

There was an expectation because Adam Boyes marched out and stressed 1080/60 fps for BF at E3.

I guarantee he was just repeating what the briefing given by EA specified (SOP for showings of 3rd party games where they didn't dev the game or really have jack squat to do with development). Considering they told everyone it was 1080p on PS4 and XB1.

This is an EA fail, not a Sony or MS fail (other than giving this pile of crap stage time, lol).

Btw, I've played BF since the first game over a decade ago, and BF:HL is the biggest pile of crap I've ever seen in the FPS genre. It is astonishingly terrible. It's so bad it might kill the BF franchise entirely. It's like an incoherent and incompetent mod on BF4 that somehow manages to utterly butcher the graphics, performance, movement, everything.

So, his excuse is "I'm talking about things I know nothing about on the E3 stage"?

If he would have tried the game for at least a few seconds he would have known that the 60fps stuff can't be right for the Beta but hey, If he likes to talk about something he knows nothing about it's his good right but it's also the good right of other people to judge him for that.

Maybe he was told the game would be running at 1080p/60fps and whoever said that conveniently left out that the beta wasn't? the beta didn't even start until after

I don't know about resolution or framerates, but after playing the beta for one play session, I deleted the beta. I just don't know how to play / enjoy a game like Hardline (and Battlefield 3 / 4). I much prefer Payday 2 for heisting with other players online.

I know that the Beta didn't start already weeks before but I'm sure that someone like Boyes had the chance to try it out before talking about it. But if he decides to talk about something he never tried, it's also his fault if he is wrong.

Not that I think this is some horrible mistake or something but it's still his fault if he praises something he never touched. Sony is responsible for the stuff happening on their stage as long as a Sony employee is talking about it.

No, Sony is responsible for their stuff, EA is responsible for their stuff. Hardline is EA's stuff.

Man Destiny was so nice. This, not so much.

It was a Sony employee talking about it on a Sony stage. Too bad for him that he thought that bragging about framerate and resolution is "the thing" nowadays... Nobody forced him to mention it except for himself so maybe he should have checked it before talking about it. But taking the chance to mention once more how awesome the graphical power of PS4 is was just too appealing.
