I'm gaming with these Sony MDR-XB700 (extra bass) plugged in to the DS4.

But I think these XB400 with mic and vol control are great value for the price ($29.75 on amazon).

How about your smartphone earphones with a mic? (I assume you have one) That's what I'm using currently, Xperia Z headset in the mini jack in, until I get the Playstation Gold Headset.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
