GameTrailers makes a countdown of their top 10 most anticipated games for 2008.

The list goes as follows:

1. Resident Evil 5 (Multiplat)

2. Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)

3. Fallout 3 (Multiplat)

4. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

5. Starcraft 2 (PC)

6. LittleBigPlanet (PS3)

7. Grand Theft Auto IV (Multiplat)

8. Prototype (Multiplat)

9. Ninja Gaiden 2 (Xbox 360)

10. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

It's not a bad list in my view.  I would have perhaps included Fable 2 in there somewhere. RE5 I think deserves the top spot considering just how great RE4 was.

Your thoughts?

7. Grand Theft Auto IV (Multiplat) seven place??

Prototype is there but we don't see Gears 2 or Fable 2?

Fail.

I also have a hard time putting MGS4 and LBP in front of GTA IV. Overall, I don't disagree with most of the list but the order is all wrong to me.

GT5 missing bad list.

The 10 games sound about right, but the order is off. GTAIV and SSBB should be higher.

where is killzone 2?

They explain that the reason LBP comes in 6th (and scores so high in their list) is because it's so fresh, and new to the industry. It's innovative and "always makes them smile" when they play it.

Perhaps GTA scores lower because it's not really bringing anything new to the table, it's just another addition to a very popular franchise.

Starcraft should be higher IMO, but that's their opinion.

gta should #1 , it will sell more than any of these games.
