No it doesn't look downgraded especially if you watch the live demo, where the monster models and environments look as good if not better than in the reveal trailer or the second trailer.

It looks the same other than character models.

That being said, people never played the original for the character models. It's all about the world.

Next gen is PS5/Xbox Two/Wii 3.

X is firmly current gen. Last gen didn't have the RAM for it.

I still find it funny how reactive you are when someone doesn't think everything Nintendo does is Godly.

You know very well what I meant.

I find your passive aggression similarly amusing.

I'm not going to be sorry for not feeling X definitely looks new gen (happy now?).

That rotating grass, those character models... Really not what I expect from this gen.

I didn't notice the rotating grass, and yes I know what you mean by that. Looked like it was a solid part of the evironment to me when the camera panned around. I'll have to look again.

It's not as noticeable in videos because of the compression that blurs the image. But the same "technique" was used in Xenoblade. And it was hard to miss.

Yeah I watched it again and noticed. Though it's not all of it. There's only some of it that are flat, a lot of it has actual volume. But yeah, it is there. Oh well.

It looks almost the same, but now you get a closer look. The cutscenes are the only downgrade i've seen. Anyways, it comes out in 2015, so they'll still edit the textures and details.

The game looks good, it's amazing that a little router-shaped box can run something like that, but they need to improve on those character faces, they're looking into my soul with those eyes, it's creepy!! Not current gen standards by any stretch of the imagination, but perhaps a slight step above last gen in terms of draw distance. That extra RAM surely will give the game an advantage over last gen games.

As for those who claim that it's been downgraded (those who aren't trolls), is it too much trouble to support your claim that the graphics have been downgraded? Like, do y'all have comparison pics for the earlier trailers and the current gameplay to share, that show definitive downgrades in visuals? I keep hearing this claim, yet no one backs it up with anything other than "It looks downgraded to me"......

About the "downgraded" group you Speak of, the treehouse video even goes to one of the places shown in the early footage, and it looks exactly the same, just much smoother now. Oh well, let them hate. That's why I out in the poll "I don't own a wiiu, just here to troll" option, and to their credit, some have selected it, shows honesty if nothing else. Lol

Looks awesome and character textures might get better, even if they don't though they're still on par and everything else will likely be way above par (gameplay, environments, and music all look good and though we can't judge the story properly without knowing it all, it's an RPG by Monolith Soft, so it's probably going to be story-heavy and pretty good at that...)

Also the quality of the streams aren't as good as seeing it in person in general, that doesn't mean most of the criticisms of the textures/polygons aren't true, just saying

you have to admit it is a downgrade.
But it is not downgraded to some unacceptable level of graphic.

The world is still HUGE, the story is still GOOD, the battle is still EXCITING.

And it will be my BEST JRPG in a long time.

We don´t have to admit anything.

Go back and look at the trailers from early 2013. They didn´t show any of the not.so.great looking character models and the environments are the same

...if not worse than they are now.
