I wouldn't say impossible. But you'd really need to get it cheap and then tap into the Chinese and Indian markets to do that, since they account for some 30% of the world's population. Those are HUGE untapped markets and gettin into them would make it possible to reach 4% easy. China is probably possible since their economy is growing considerably, but we'll see how that goes.

I still can't get over the numbers of the DS, isnt it the fastest selling system?? ot not?  and am I reading it correctly 700k sold?? in one month???

For April non-launch it may be one of the biggest. Launch and December holiday numbers have been bigger I think for some systems.

For lifetime sales, I think it may be the fastest ever. In Japan the numbers are double what the PS2 were in the same amount of time.  

Yeah. I would say that DS and Wii are going to dominate Japan, hands down.

Arent the Wii sales on USA NPD normally close to what the Wii sold that same month in Japan? Wii coming in under 300k for Japan in April makes me think that Wii will be outsold by 360 on next Thursdays NPD due to the 360 surge (Elite release).

The XBox 360 will have recieved a boost from the release of the Elite but at the same time (somewhat) believeable rumers have been stating the Wii has recieved higher shipments through April which may represent a large boost than what the XBox 360 recieved.

It is still hard to gauge the Wii sales since they basically sell whatever Nintendo ships. So if Nintendo ships more or less that directly effects sales. 360 will get a bump from Elite but won't outsell the Wii imo.

 India is growing faster but their economy is also far behind of the Chinese one.

 Believe me when I say in the next 10,20 years China will come with their console and if their market will act like the Japanese market (Japanese consoles sell more) and American (X360 sell more than in every other market) They only have to sell it to 2% of their market (2% = 30 million) to be a succes.

I expect Nintendo to launch in India and China this gen, but not until they can market their systems 

for around a Hundred dollars or less
