linear isn't as bad as people make out.

Linear isn't bad. Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Gears Of War, etc... A lot of games have proved it.
But, too linear IS bad. There are a few exceptions (Quantic Dream's games for example, because they're not even supposed to be actual video games, but more interactive movies) though.
Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.
Dat journalism! He only saw like 10 minutes of that game and already starts saying something like that - why would you even...?!. I think RAD even stated that there will be more open areas.
Looking forward to more footage of The Order, especially of other more open and colorful areas. And then all those naysayers will eat crow

In a way Quantic Dream games are not that linear when you factor that every desicion has multiple outcomes, Non linear story but linear gameplay xD

everything needs to be different. if a game is open world its empty and boring to walk through. if a game is semi open world its bad because it isnt fully open and it doesnt have the intensty of linear games. if its linear its bad because you can explore and walk around where ever you want.

Yeah, you have a point here.
But let's face it, as much as I love Quantic Dream's games' stories, I can't really say I had "fun" with it. Gameplay-wise, I mean.
I really hope The Order will be a little like Uncharted or TLOU. Story driven, and linear, but with enough gameplay and variety to have fun.

Yeah, the game looks great to me. It's getting a bit of hate which is normal for any game that's exclusive. I bet it will turn out amazing.

I'm sure most of the people will like this game and its already doing some good preorders which shows that many are interested in this game and will do good sales to start a new franchise. RAD still have not shown many elements of the game, so expect some gameplay soon which wil interest many. This game is not for everyone(there will be atleast 2+ million people who like this just like Beyond which sold 1+ million) and its meant to be a unique story telling, linear world with reaslistic visuals, charecters etc., instead of going around and killing people always.
So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.
PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.
Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.
Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
