most probably true. i can only see CoD pushing more sales than Destiny.

GTA5?

Re-release. Of a game that has so far sold over 30M copies. That literally means that everyone (well, except people like me and/or if it has a simultaneous PC release) that buys GTA5 on the PS4 is probably double dipping.

OP: Can't fault his line of thinking. It also helps when you are bundling the game with a new SKU. Funny thing about stuff like that is that its kinda a stealth unofficial price drop. You will hjave people like me that already has a PS4 going to buy the destiny bundle cause i want the game and more importantly; a white PS4. But for that to make sense, I will sell my black PS4. If I can sell it for $200-$300 I am good. That means some lucky person that isn't willing to spend more than $200-$300 for a PS4 is gonna get a PS4. And I am sure I am not the only one doing something like this.

Destiny has a great chance at pushing more PS4 sales than CoD.

Edit: The white Destiny PS4 bundle will definitely do some damage, biggest system seller this year imo.

Esp considering CoD is being marketed alongside Xb one. PS4 being associated and bundled with Destiny is very likely to move more PS4s than CoD will.

Acti is not only good at marketing their games they know how to play both sides.

Hm... Sony has ALWAYS been looking for their first person killer app since Goldeneye came out. Sony should've got this game as an exclusive! Of course, Sony didn't have the money them to do it.... wish they did. This game would've been an amazing exclusive.

Destiny apparently cost $200 million to make (not including marketing costs). You are very much right. Maybe Nintendo could've, though? Apparently they have billions in the bank. I don't know.

to make something exclusive you need yo pay more than just development cost,  the funds need to cover the loss of sales from the excluded platforms as well as advertising agressively to increase single playform sales.

would take a hell of a lot more than 200mill.

as things are though,  with many xbox fans snubbing destiny because they see bungie as being traitors,  and the obvioud leaning towards playstation,  it may as well be a playstation excludive as far as success and sales go,  bungie just benefit from the sales of other platforms,  ensuring the game doesnt die off.

People are really putting a lot of faith in this new IP.

It's mainly from the first hand accounts after the alpha access.  Many were skeptical about it prior to that.  After people got to play it, and people saw non-scripted/practiced gameplay videos it changed allot of minds.
