Is the alpha phase only for the ps4 version?

Yes. Then 1 month later ps4 has a few days early access to beta, then other platforms get the beta too.

People on neogaf already playing the alpha? So it's started? I haven't gotten an e-mail
maybe i got a notification on the console but i'm not feeling bothered to boot it up so close to sleepy time.

i end up registering for it twice on the same PSN account so i hope that doesn't affect it

Arrrgggh I work all friggen weekend 12 hour shifts at night. Guess I won't be getting a whole lot of sleep. Feel sorry for the next patient I have that needs some critical thinking from their nurse.
