Well, hopefully someday you'll realize I have absolutely no preference for a brand.
My opinion on Destiny's success is genuine. The ambition with this game was phenomenal, but it will obviously end up suffering of the duck syndrome : it can fly, it can swim, it can walk, but it isn't exceptionnal at any of them.
The graphical clarity and the universe/story seem top-notch to me. It is really the gameplay that has me worried.
MMO : From what has been shown it is a very light MMO, and the missions are repetitive. There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the dynamic aspect of the universe such as the introduction of the Death Star, this is why I might revise my prediction end of June.
And the competitive FPS component where Bungie should have been excellent really has me worried. Destiny is taking the opposite approach to Halo 2 : unbalanced PvP.

This is the same "fighter" that has had a ken avatar forever, right?
To be brief, I feel sales2099 is more accurate about the market, and he would say he does have a preference.
I'm not saying your opinion isn't genuine, I'm just questioning how you got there.
There are a few things I agree with. The action doesn't look all that spectacular to me, but I've only seen that level where they fight in the cave or whatever. Secondly, you should be more careful about using the word mmo. MMO is nearly synonymous in online speak with MMORPG, and this game cannot be called that. Something only becomes repetitive when it becomes boring. You could call anything repetitive, CoD, BF, Dota, Marioparty.
As for the pvp, I'm sure it will be fine. Just because you can upgrade your equipment doesn't mean the pvp is going to suck. I can't even think of a single game that has a "level playing field" anymore. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that a 'level playing field' is a relic of the quake, UT days.
My main problem with your opinion, especially with what you said above, is that you aren't critiquing the game, you are comparing the game to other things and arbitrarily deciding that it sucks. PVP not balanced the way halo 2 balanced things, therefore imbalanced. A portion of the game is all that has been shown several times, therefore repetitive.
But of course, you reserve the right to revise your prediction? Dude. Predictions are important. You can't just revise whatever you said away. Predictions are your word. You want to be cautious? Then don't make predictions....because it's stuff like this that has massaged my perception of you.

Yes, I've had the ken avatar forever.
Yes I'm criticizing the game and I don't understand why you have an issue with it:
Is it because you disagree with me on the features and gameplay that we know of ? I stand by all my observations and I don't see what changes they can do to fix that before launch (except maybe the AI which sucks in the frequent outdoors but seems good in the rare closed environments - i'll update that end of June depending on the eventual fix and how frequently you get in-doors)
I see your point regarding the eventual MMO to MMORPG confusion and don't worry. When I say it is very light for an MMO i mean it.
Is it because of the the Bungie factor ? If yes obviously Bungie has an amazing reputation and this is why actually I do not take it into account :
They are doing things completely new to them gameplay-wise.
The production values are Halo-esque (UI/ Universe/ Music / graphical precision etc.) but the gameplay you have to admit is absolutely not similar to Halo. So don't be surprised if I don't give in blindly because it's Bungie.
And yes I reserve the right to revise my prediction by end of June. I might just revise the numbers and I don't see what novelty/improvement might be implemented in such a short delay to change the overall perspective.
Rest assured that I i'll still predict a flop and a free-to-play model by 2016.

I have an issue because I don't understand how you come to the conclusion from the evidence.
AI will be better. That's a given. It's an alpha.
The fact that they are doing completely new things gameplay-wise is fine. Look at insomniac. Sunset overdrive is basically ratchet and clank but with a brand new gameplay style. Or Naughty dog with the last of us. Completely different from uncharted gameplay wise, as was uncharted from anything they did prior.
Nobody says to give in blindly just because it is Bungie. But a new ip is a new ip. Look at watchdogs. There are so many new ip's done by huge studios and it's pretty rare for them to flop. Even bad games like ff13 still do really well. Look at red dead redemption, which was so far different from both the prequel, red dead revolver, as it was from grand theft auto, but still rockstar did it. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to show me a major developer who has made a new ip which has flopped. I honestly can't think of one.
It's already free to play....or did you mean micro-transaction model?
What gameplay do they need to fix?
