Well, mw3 had a development/marketing budget of 200 million, destiny had a development/marketing budget of 500 million.  You can compare them I guess, and when you compare them you see that destiny's budget is twice what mw3 was.  

Now, obviously mw3 was cheaper to make then destiny.  Destiny is cross generational and had to build a brand new engine, etc.  still, activision is throwing a lot of weight behind this game.  Preorders are huge, and the franchise is being set up to grow a huge amount this next gen.  It will have crazy good legs as the franchise builds steam.  It will probably move 3-4 million first week on the ps4, i dont think it is that crazy to think it will move another 6-7 million over the next 10 years or so.  

Destiny will sell more on PS4 alone, and it'll move more PS4s than the HC will move X1s.

It won't be even close.

i dont think so. launchweek is always extremly huge for big AAA games

so yes, probably 2.5 mio (would be a  25%+  attachrate )  for launch week destiny on ps4. i just doubt it will have the legs to get over 5 mio

the hype for destiny will be fading in november, when call of duty and battelfield (and halo) launch.

Halo software will outsell PS4 bundle. But the fact its looking this close is crazy. On another note wow at PSTV @#9 and there are alot of Sony products top 20

Yeah very silly comparison. Destiny being bundled and crazy advertising (watchdogs) will obviously sell more.

killzone shadow fall is at ~ 60k

on an 580k installbase (installbase at destiny launch will be at ~650k)

na, uk and rest of mainland europe have to do 90% of that 5 mio  figure

i dont expect destiny to bomb. i just dont think it will be twice as big as watch dogs

Many games prove install base dosn't doesn't matter a lot MGS and God of War sold more in ps3 then ps2 despite the huge difference of install base,Gran Turismo 3 sold more then Gran Turismo 4.
