LOL. Looks like I struck a nerve... I don't review games for a living. I'm a student at college. Why would PR fimrs, publishers, and devs send me games? They don't know who I am. I know why Eidos sent you Kane and Lynch though, cause you gave that piece of shit game an eight out of ten. When we all know the game doesn't even deserve that. And I'm sure with all the bad you spew on the PS3, Microsoft must be lining up at your door with review copies of their games, you can't buy that kind of negative news about your competitor. I love seeing you break down. It makes me happy. I'm not a hater also, I have an XBOX 360, but I'm no fanboy. You my friend are clearly delusional. And your site sucks. It's a frickin blog. You review games on a blog. And to this is the first day I've ever even seen or heard of your blog. What's your daily traffic? Are you even ranked by alexa? lol. |

How ironic. I don't think DM was wrong here. He was "reviewing" Madskillz job... which is what he does for a job...
I feel the same way that Sony is responsible for Sega not being in the console business anymore, and look what they did to Lik Sang. I cannot say that I will never own the PS3,but I know that I will never buy one.
I have a PS2 only because it was given to me.
The investment needed for HD at the moment for myself is too high,so I am going to wait for awhile.I am still buying and enjoying games for my other systems NES,N-64,Dreamcast,PS2,GCN and GBA-SP way too much to invest in another one.

you cant 'blame' sony for sega's demise, its a competitive market and if you cant compete, you are out which is exactly what happened. Sega spent their early years trying to destroy Nintendo's dominance of the market, maybe we would all have a different view of them has they succeeded.
Sony's inhouse game production is on a different level to the majority of the rubbish sega produce now anyway.
Blu-ray players will become cheaper than a PS3 in time. If you really don't want a PS3 I would just wait for that to happen. Using a controller as a remote is awkward anyways.
This next part is perhaps unnecessary but I feel I must say it. I can't help but laugh at all the fanboys coming out and telling you that suddenly you will love all the games coming out for the PS3. I have to assume that if you are posting on a gaming website that you are well informed as to what is on the horizon and know whether or not they are for you. Every console has its unique strengths and weaknesses when it comes to software line-ups. Why this happens and whether it can be prevented I am not sure, but I have always noticed that consoles seem to suffer in at least a couple genres. The absurd notion that eventually there will be enough PS3 (or Wii or 360) games that anyone could justify the purchase really is amusing to me.

To this day, I've had the PS3 for about a month and haven't played a single game except for a game I am reviewing for Sony, Sky Jumper? That's it. I have 11 PS3 titles and haven't played any of them. After reading your post, why not wait a while before buying a PS3? Borrow one from your friend, or go to their house and play it. I wouldn't have bought one if I didn't review games. I need a real reason to buy it. I could care less about Blu Ray - both HD formats are overrated - and honestly, the PS3 is rather overpriced. You said you have a 360, right? I'd stick with that instead of paying $500 plus for the console and end up with buyer's remorse. I need to have at least 5 compelling reasons to buy a console. Sadly, the PS3 doesn't have 5 reasons for me to pick one up - but I did to review games. |
Can we have some links to your reviews please?
Review copies are normally sent out by publishers, I used to get a load running a gaming society. They spit em out like candy, which is why you still get them even if you haven't reviewed them.
People who buy the PS3 for the Blu-Ray are only hurting Sony. In the long run, the games will continue to sell worse than on the Xbox360 and developers may then continue abandoning the system. "Sure, people are sorta buying the PS3, but no one's buying games on it." It was the same situation as the GameCube, but instead of movies, it was first party games killing the sales of third party wares.
Of course, then, the third party companies were also at fault for putting little more than half-assed ports to the GameCube months after the fact they were released on competing systems. Talk about setting yourself up for failure.

I absolutely love your jealous rants. If my reviews were so horrible, I guess folks (devs, PR firms, publishers) would quit sending me games for review. Do PR firms, publishers and devs send you games to review? I'd love to read your reviews. Ha ha ha ... you phail, hater ... |
