Bloodborne is developed by Japan studio and from Software just like Demon souls so its a exclusive and we are sure that sony not going to make the mistake of Dark souls this time. So, it will make this bloodborne as new series and im really excited for this.

What mistake did Sony make? From Software made Dark Souls on their own accord, there was more money in a multiplatform title. No matter what Sony does, it's going to be hard for them to keep this exclusive. It could very well end up like Demon/Dark Souls and go multiplatform once the XB1 install base becomes more reasonable.

wtf

No. Just no. There'll be Souls games (Like DS2) that are multiplat, but Bloodborne is PS4 exclusive. There is just no going around that.

And i'm confident that until holiday 2015 is upon us, Bloodborne will likely be the best exclusive on all next gen consoles.

For me the fact they showed UC4 and LBP was enough for me.

Demon Souls isn't multi-plat, it's owned by Sony.  Hence the reason for the name change.  And Sony has trademarked the name Bloodbourne, so I'm not entirely sure how often you'd trademark a name you don't own.

The mistake was Sony not wanting to bring the game West, which allowed Atlus to step in and release it in North America, and then Bandai Namco to step in and do so in Europe.  They explained this in IGN's Post Sony E3 show.  What ended up happening (I guess) was, tantamount to Sony allowing a significant IP to slip through their fingers (Dark Souls is a 'spiritual successor', not a true sequel), this is being viewed as them attempting to fix that mistake, as Demon/Dark Souls have both created quite a little niche for themsleves.  (I think this is all accurate, it's from memory but I believe that's the basic gist of it).

wtf? How?

What did Sony do to make From Software change a multi-platform franchise into an exclusive? If From Software managed to get Dark Souls 1 & 2 onto the 360, I'm sure they might do it again. It's just too large of an install base to ignore.

---

As for best exclusive, XenoBlade Chronicles X looks >>>> anything else, but I'm hyped for Uncharted 4, Starfox WiiU and Zelda WiiU.

I'm guessing Sony offered to publish it Worldwide this time, which they didn't do with Demon Souls.  But, there's no effin way SCEJ would be working with From Software on a multiplatform title, just isn't going to happen.

I'm confused. What do you mean

What i was saying was that Demons was exclusive. Then Namco wanted to multiplat so made Dark Souls as a "new" franchise. But the "exclusive souls" franchise (which isn't really a franchise now, due to name difference) keeps on going exclusively on the PS

If there is Bloodborne 2, it'll be PS4 exclusive, which in no way affects the development of a multiplat Dark Souls 3

Souls fatigue? Yeah, gonna happen eventually. But the best members of the team are thankfully on the Sony IP so i'll stick with that one :)

OH, I didn't see that SCEJ was working on it. I just saw that it was developed by "From Software."

Still there is a possibility that the sequel to Bloodborne goes multiplat, just like the sequel to Demon's Souls did. From Software needs to make a new engine for this, so it's possible they are only making the 1st game exclusive for publishing $$$ (just like Titanfall on XB1/360/PC).

Unlikely, Sony trademarked the name.  They own the IP, same with Demon Souls, hence the reason why the name changed from Demon Souls to Dark Souls, and why the stories bear no resemblance to each other.

???

Dark Souls is a part of the "Souls" franchise and released on 360. Bloodborne is a PS4 exclusive, but who's to say the sequel won't be a multi-platofrm game? It won't be called Bloodborne, but does it matter if it's called Gutsborne or something else???

---

I actually haven't played much of the series, but I got Dark Souls as a gift so I think I should give it a try soon.

No, Dark Souls is a spin off franchise. There is no "souls" franchise (only ideally in the mind of gamers, if anything). Sony owns Demon's Souls and now owns Bloodborne

Like i said if there is anything multiplat it'll be a Dark Souls 3 or a new Something-Souls, not Bloodborne.
