Casuals, late adopters etc

Errr, I care about the 360 and I was paying attention to this E3.

I've been with a 360 since 2006.

Fair enough. I assumed most core gamers would be more interested in what the new consoles had to offer as opposed to the 360 and PS3 which are definitely showing their age.

They made a big stink about continuing to support the 360, and now they're not, so that irks me a bit. But I don't hold it against them too much. The Xbone needs their full support right now, so they should just do what they gotta do. It's certainly not as bad as when Nintendo dropped the Wii to support the Wii U, then ended up delaying everything because they couldn't figure out how to make HD games.

360 did a great job 2nd all gen 7,the ONE however has failed to live up to this sitting behind nintendo & sony in 3rd for gen 8,

no surprise microsoft can't waste time on the success of the 360 anymore at E3 when they are concentrating on changing their ONE experience to try and improve sales and not lose any more market share in the USA to sony

I don't understand this kind of flack MS is getting. Its not like Sony and Nintendo have major plans for PS3 and Wii.

Sony gets praise for supporting their consoles for a long time, but Sony gave up on PSP even before the Vita was released. PS3 support pretty much ended after PS4 was released. Vita's 1st party support is pitiful. The only thing Sony seems to care about right now is PS4.

There is some truth to this. Just look at software sales, numerious core games are already selling better on 8th gen.

I'd like to see more 360 support from MS. But I'd also like to see more PS3 support from Sony, which is pretty much nonexistent.

Releasing games for the X360 is support. Using precious time at E3 press confrence to talk about them is a waste of time.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

What do you mean?

Casuals, late adopters etc

I have a Xbox 360 and I'm watching E3. In the future I'm going to get a next gen console (maybe a Wii U after so many good games that I see), but not now. I have a lot of games to play in my 360. For me its too soon to get a next gen console, but this don't make me abandon E3.

Interest in E3 =/= Interest in getting a nextgen console now.

Sony were still talking about ps2 in their conferences way after ps3 released.

That's because PS2 was such a powerhouse, sales-wise, but PS3 took forever to take off and even longer to turn a profit.

Sony did not specifically take time to talk about PS3 this year either (other than briefly mentioning that some of the games they anounced would also come to it) so I guess its not really a bad thing on MS's part.

To be fair, they didin't really talk much about X1 either other than saying that they wanted to make it the best place for games.  Most of the conference was just them showing the games themselves.
